It was enjoyable but like everything that is voluntary, certain people don't pull their weight so I was glad to give it up in the end as it could be frustrating at times.

:rotfl: I get this all the time. I'm the only paid member of staff and so rely heavily on volunteers for everything I do. It works sometimes but other times not so well!!

Life is pretty manic at the moment but I don't want to lose track of payments so I'm just putting this here so I don't forget. Things should be quieter next week so I can have a proper catch up

Well it has been a manic two weeks. I've been involved in a lot of work in schools these past two weeks which has been hectic. I also had a small op at the beginning of the week which didn't help matters. It wasn't anything major but I had to have general anaesthetic which I don't tolerate well. Thankfully the anaesthetist took it as a personal challenge to make sure I wasn't sick afterwards which I wasn't :) but my blood pressure dropped and they tried to keep me in overnight. I protested and they did let me out but I have felt so wiped out this week. I had to finish off the schools work too which didn't help. I have felt so tired and weak (not that I would admit that to anyone in RL) that I'm starting to wonder if I may be anaemic. I'm weighing up whether or not to make a dr's appointment to get my iron levels checked.

Anyway. It's the start of the weekend :j Early night tonight I think, DD has swimming in the morning but we have nothing planned for the rest of the day so just pottery bits I think as there is a mountain of washing to be done etc etc!!

Anyone doing anything exciting this weekend?

It is so sunny here today I can't quite believe it!! It's a bit chilly when the wind picks up but altogether it's a pretty nice day.

DD had swimming lessons this morning. She is up to Stage 6 now so lessons are an hour long now. DS went to my mums and I used the time to sew in the sleeves of a crochet cardigan I have made DD. It only needs 3 cheery buttons and it's finished! :T Not bad for something I made out of leftover wool!

Since coming home I have started the washing mountain. Our washing line still hasn't been fixed (looking at you DH!!!) so the clothes are being dried on clothes airers which I've put outside. Just need to check on them occasionally to make sure they haven't blown over. I have also washed dishes, cleaned the kitchen, toilet and bathroom. I'm now having a well deserved cup of tea while the kids play "ghosts" with a blanket.

It's been lovely to have a nice quiet day where I don't actually have to do anything. I am very tempted to suggest a takeaway to DH when he comes home from work though :o

    Hi Star,

Sorry to hear you have been feeling low in energy. I'd say it would be a good idea to go to the doctor anyway. I went last year for the same reason and there was nothing untoward but it did make me feel better!

Weather is beautiful here. I am working unfortunately but getting loads done and also have popped in on another project that I set up and that seems to be going very well!

OH is working tomorrow but I am just thinking of all the extra pay he will get so fingers crossed it will be worth it!

Thanks CMD for the reassurance that I won't be wasting Dr's time. Hope your weekend wasn't too bad with you and DH passing each other on the way to extra shifts. Like you said the extra pay will come in handy.

I can't sleep tonight. Not sure why as I was really tired going to bed. I've got back up now so I've been checking banks etc. On the upside it looks as though the monthly loan payment has gone out. It's really weird as the balance of the loan has dropped but the payment hasn't come out of our j/a balance yet  Anyway I'm adding it to amount paid this month. This month's payment took £156.99 off the balance. Just over £11 in interest paid this month. I do like seeing the interest paid get smaller and smaller :D

    Payments made £329.99

ETA now under £3k owing :T so lovely to see a 2 at the beginning of "amount owed" now
