  • Your DD sounds so sweet Star. Love that she is saving her own money. Hopefully all our kids will be so much more financially savvy than us.

I can't wait to bring ours to EuroDisney. It will be 2016 or 2017 for us.

I do hope that social norms will change for our kids meaning credit won't be as easily available. And things like payday loans will be a thing of the past so that no one gets stuck in the cycle of not being able to afford it so borrow more etc.

Payday for me today. Nothing really exciting to say about that unfortunately. I haven't caught up the spreadsheet yet so I can't move money about til I know where I am! I hate being behind and not knowing exactly where we are with the banks but it's been manic here. Hopefully I'll get chance to look tonight.

One good financial news is that our annual loan statement came today (our first and hopefully only). It was 4 pages long  It looked great with all the overpayments we have made. The monthly interest at the beginning of the term was £31.82 it is now £16.96 :T I think that is pretty good even if I do say so myself :D

Hi guys. Nothing financial to report. Apart from I have just remembered that I need to submit a time sheet for he agency shift I did on Monday.

Today has been quite stressful. I started a parent and toddler group this morning. I was so afraid that no one would come and that it would just be me and DS there. DS wouldn't have minded in the slightest as it would mean that he wouldn't have to share the toys :rotfl: it was very good though and quite a few people came. One little boy had a meltdown when it was time to go home as he didn't want to leave! It made me happy in that he had obviously had a good time :D I'm looking forward to next week now.

We've got a pretty quiet weekend planned. DH is working. We'll probably go to visit my parents tomorrow and I've got my first official run of the year on Sunday. it's probably too late to start training now isn't it :o Ah well, I know I can finish as its only 10k, I just might not get the time I want!

Anyone got any exciting plans for the weekend??

  • Well done on the m&t group Star. Was that for your job or a voluntary thing? I used to help run one. Max loved it but Evie had no interest so we left when he started playschool.

We are hoping to get to the Natural History museum tomorrow, weather permitting.

    Hope you've a lovely weekend!

Part of my job CMD It was my decision to start one but it's been so long in the planning stages that it was pretty scary to be there watching the door, wondering if anyone would actually come.

Did you enjoy running your group?

Well that's February pretty much over and done with. This year is flying already. Let's have a look at the challenges I set shall we?

    February Challenges
Payments made £1,241.03/£500 :jI smashed this thanks to getting the money we were owed, back.
    Decluttering 15/30
Decluttering didn't go too badly but could have been better.
    Doors glossed 1/2
I glossed 1 1/2 doors in the end. So unless I gloss the other side of the kitchen door tonight then I won't quite make that target.
    Money Earned £15.15/£100
Money earned wasn't very good but I did do an agency shift which won't be paid for 2 weeks going by past experiences with them.

All in all, not too shoddy :)

It was enjoyable but like everything that is voluntary, certain people don't pull their weight so I was glad to give it up in the end as it could be frustrating at times.
