Thank you ladies. Yes sig is up to date. We are £2 off a total monthly payment of £1k but I'm not going to let my OCD make me pay that just yet though as we still have two payments to make to the loan this month. The regular payment still has to go out plus it's a council tax free month this month so that payment will be moved tomorrow (that's the date it normally goes out)
Plans for when I am debt free?? It has to be saving for a deposit for our forever homeGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Reality-check wish list
Not on an estate or main road
Garden (with grass)
Off road parking (doesn't have to be a garage)
4 bedrooms (3 occupied plus play room for kids)
Big kitchen
Dining room (or enough room for table in kitchen)
Decent size hallway
Ideal wish list
Self built
At least an acre of land (to expand the current veg we grow, plant fruit trees in gound instead of pots like we have now and space for chickens)
Off road parking (again not bothered about garage)
4 bedrooms as above *plus* another room for office/sewing room
Big kitchen (will not compromise on size of kitchen)
Utility room
Decent sized hallway
Think thats about it. The important bits for us is the garden as we grow a lot of veg, a big kitchen as it's the heart of the home, and not to live on a main road like we do now.

My dream house is 2 houses (I am a dreamer)
1st one is a 3 bed townhouse in the town beside the one we will buy in this year. Nice garden and open plan kitchen with no-folding doors into the garden.
House 2 is an apartment in Portugal. 2 bed apartment with terrace and communal pool.
And the dream is to flit between the 2 when we retire!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Ooooh 2 houses! Love the sound of flitting between the two.
I wrote 2 lists as the second one is what we would really like but the first is more likely what we are going to end up with as I'm pretty sure it would take forever for us to save for a deposit for the Ideal House. I want to move to somewhere with a garden while the kids are still young enough to be able to play out there and enjoy it.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Do you have a garden where you are now Star? We do but it's waterlogged and horribleTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

It's more of a yard as it's all concrete. It's fine for the kids to play on their bikes/scooters etc but they can't really do any of the rough and tumble stuff which DS loves to do. Plus all our veg and our fruit trees have to grow in pots
I want to see the kids climbing trees, kicking footballs, doing cartwheels etc all in the gardenGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Morning all. First day of half term today and it's wet and horrible!! I still have to pay for DS's nursery fees so he's gone in today but will get the rest of the week off. This way I can also get some one-to-one time with DD. Although she's in the middle of reorganising the DVDs. Don't ask me why but she's pulled them all off the shelves and is currently talking to herself while putting them back!! :rotfl:
We don't pay council tax this month so I've just moved that money over to the loanI've also tidied the bathroom a bit and have used up 2 items that were taking up space but only had a small bit left in them. Only a little thing I know but I feel quite good about it. I've also rearranged things in there so that nothing new gets opened before the old one is used up! Which is the sensible way to do things

Enjoy the 1:1 time with DD. They love having us to themselves. The weather is actually gorgeous over here today.
