How long are you waiting for the money Star? It's so frustrating when people won't pay up :(

I say re: decluttering count it the way it motivates you the most. For me it would be 1 bag but if 32 items works for you then go for it! I need to do a clothes declutter myself. Did the kids clothes last week, toys this week, then myself and OH next week!

Since before Christmas CMD. It's not the first time they haven't stumped up money they owe us, its just the last straw really.

I do usually count things in bags or boxes instead of individual items so this will be just 1 bag unfortunately, maybe 2 by the time I am finished. you've done well by the looks of things x

Morning all. It's a very sunny, but cold, morning here. DH is at work today as his shift pattern has been changed meaning he is no longer guaranteed a Monday off :( Just me and the housework :rotfl:

Actually I've just got back from kettle bells. I had a special offer at the gym for January and I really enjoyed doing exercise that wasn't running. So after my special offer ran out and my membership lapsed, a friend told me about this kettle bells class. Costs £2.50 for an hour and boy do I feel it!! I would say I'm pretty fit but the day after the first class I felt like I'd been hit by a bus!!all these muscles I hadn't used in years were screaming in protest to the work they had been subjected to the day before  I've been going for a couple of weeks now and I can at least move the day after class now :o I think rather than being fit I was "fit for purpose" as in I was fit enough for the running I do but I've been neglecting other muscles!!

Anyway Monday morning!!*sigh* I have once again been on the phone to the company who owes us money. They are apparently ringing me back :rotfl: <that's hysterical "yeah right" laughter! I will ring them again this afternoon!

I have glossed one door over the end part of last week. Two coats and it looks fab. DH is buying some masking tape today on his way home from work so that I can start the other doors which have lots of little panes of glass in them.

    February Challenges
    Payments made £198/£500
    Decluttering 1/30
    Doors glossed 1/2
    Money Earned £0/£100

Well done on the kettle bells class. My friends tell me it is very intense!

Can't believe that company haven't coughed up yet. That is ridiculous. Crazy.

I bet the doors look great. I love glossing and how everything just looks so clean afterwards. Happy Monday Star :)

Morning all. Very cold and misty here! DS has a cold and a cough so has been up most of the night. He's gone to school fine this morning though. DD complained her throat was sore...just as she was going into school!! So I doubt that will come to anything. Just a bit of stalling tactics. They can ring me to fetch her if she is ill in school so I'm not too bothered by that. She'll probably forget all about it once she sees her friends.

Im dropping off an item of clothing I made for a friend later. It's for her daughter for her birthday. I do hope she likes it and if she does that's a bit of money earnt for me. Not much but every little helps!

DH was off yesterday so we got a few household jobs done between us. Couldn't get much done in the morning while DS was home but I made flapjacks and DH did some work in the kitchen. Then after DS went to school in the afternoon we got some noisier, dirtier jobs done, like sawing and painting. I started putting masking tape on the little panes of glass in the downstairs internal doors ready for painting too! Boy did that take ages! It should make painting easier anyway!

I'm off to coffee morning now for my weekly tea and toast yummy! Why does it always taste better when someone else has made it?????

  • Sounds like you got loads done yesterday Star. DH is *supposed* to be home earlier today so I have 2 big charity shop bags to give him. I hate having the bags hanging around. They just clutter the place up!

Enjoy a we'll deserved tea and toast. It is always way yummier when you have it out!

:hello: CMD Hope DH *is* home early for you. We have some boxes here that need to be taken to the charity shop too. Might [STRIKE]get[/STRIKE] ask DH to do it while he is off tomorrow hehe!!

I dropped the cardigan off and she loved it and most importantly it fitted her daughter too *phew* She didn't have cash to pay me so she's going to paypal it over to me. Which is fine. I'm a lot better with money in the bank than cash, which seems to disappear with nothing to show for it :o

We may be a step closer to getting the money we are owed too. I had a phone call this morning from the company saying they will transfer the money over. It's not in our bank yet but I will give them til tomorrow before ringing them back. At least it's a step in the right direction. It's only taken 2 weeks of me ringing them every day and DH ringing them yesterday and giving them a big piece of his mind!!!! :rotfl:In all seriousness though, the money they owe us could fund a holiday for the 4 of us. Not back to Disney but still a decent holiday. I'm hoping DH will agree to send it all to the loan but he might want to keep some back to buy some bits for all the work in the house we are doing so I don't mind that. We've managed without this money for all this time so it might as well go to paying off our debt!
