Thank you ladies. You are so kind.
I still check the banks almost every day and breathe a sigh of relief when I see it's still in positive figures lol!
It's great to know that every penny is ours now. It's not owed to anyone else. It was especially great this week when I booked a trip to London for DD and myself without too much fuss. I basically floated the idea to DH, he asked if we had the money, I said yes, he said "book it"
Obviously I booked the "lodge" and the coach through a cash back websitebut it was so nice to think that I could spend that money without feeling guilty about the fact that it should be paying off our debt.
I do need to be careful with money this month as it's school holidays and the temptation to spend and take the kids out everywhere is high. But we've had a family meeting where we all talked about what we would like to do over the holidays, where we would like to go etc and we have a list that we will try to tick off over the holidays. Some are free like going to the park, or going for a bike ride. Others cost a little more like "going on an open top bus"
I do have some savings that I use for school holidays so it's not going to cost us too much but it's still good to keep my eye on the money.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Morning all.
Another quiet morning in the Starnac house. Turns out the kids will actually sleep in if they go to bed late. Who knew??? Anyway they are up now and are getting dressed so that I can pop to the shop to get bread and milk. The shop is literally 4 doors down but they are still too young to be left. They are not happy about it mind you. DD who is 8 can't understand why she can't be left alone in charge of her 4 year old brother  It's nice in one way that she obviously doesn't see all the millions of things that could happen.
Right off to the shop. Will try to keep the kids close so I don't spend too much money in there.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Well we are back from the BIG Capital City. We had a fantastic if not spendy
time. It was so nice to spend time just DD and I. It was lovely to see the little lady she is turning into but I also got to see the little girl she still is too :happyhear She is growing up so fast and I just want to savour every moment I can with her. She told me yesterday I was the "best mammy ever" I thought my heart would burst.
