VERY glad you have a new kettle :j :j Boiling water in a pan is just NOT the same I don't think  We have one of those boiling water tap things at work which I do NOT approve of - it's not *quite* boiling so your tea always gets drunk within about 10 seconds as it's on the verge of being too cold. Most unsatisfying :rotfl:

However, what *is* satisfying is your debt busting! So much well done! :j :j :j

Yes Cheery I agree it's not the same. Although I must admit the new kettle was a bit of a faff. The instructions said it had to be filled, boiled and emptied twice to "remove any residue from the manufacturing process". I couldn't help thinking "what a waste!" But I was too afraid to re use the water for anything else in case therewas manufacturing residue in there :(

Never mind I have a cuppa and am waiting for it to cool down enough to drink. I'm pretty sure next time I use the kettle it'll be much easier :D

Well DD was very excited going into school today. It seems that most schools are showing the football match today. We have been asked to pick them up as soon after the match finishes as possible. :rotfl: presumably so the teachers can go to the pub!! :rotfl: In all seriousness though I do think it's a fab idea. It's taken 58 years for Wales to get this far so let's support them and enjoy it. I personally think it's a good thing for children to learn a bit of pride for their country and hopefully the teachers will be good examples of how to behave whatever the result.

    C'mon Wales ;)

So sorry that I have been MIA. So much to catch up on.

Not least that the Welsh football team made the Semi Finals! :T I know people said we were over reacting as we didn't even win but for us as a country we are so proud of how well they did, and the pride with which they did it. Well done boys #togetherstronger

In other news....probably bigger than the welsh football team doing so well......We are officially DEBT FREE!!! :j:j:j:j

So amazing to report. In fact I still can't quite believe it. I panic everytime it gets close to pay day in case we end up back in our overdraft again. Is this normal???

I'm trying to work out a long term plan but for the moment I am just enjoying not having to worry about money for the first time in over 8 years!!!!
