Thanks everyone.
It's not completely good news though as DH's overtime didn't come through.I knew it felt too good to be true. They have promised it'll be paid next month now instead. I'm a bit gutted as I was looking forward to having no overdraft for the first time in forever!
Never mind. It's still a lot lower than it has been and I am chipping away at it. It's only a minor setback and I know that.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Gah - cheeky tinkers not paying the overtime! You're doing so well, and you've worked so hard at this, it feels flipping unfair that someone else's lack of activity can steal some of your elation away!
Great work on negotiating the phone thing too - I've got 2gb a month in my plan and haven't ever gone over it yet and I use my phone a LOT with all the photo stuff so you'll be absolutely fine on that.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Sorry I haven't been around. I've been busy single-parenting while DH has been away for 3 weeks. He came home for the weekend but had to work which I was pretty peeved about. We did manage to spend an afternoon together on saturday before he had to leave again. He should be home friday and I can't wait. It's been hard work. Kudos to all the single parents and military spouses out there. I don't know how you do it all the time. Three weeks is enough for me.
I've been keeping my eye on finances and while I have managed to keep grocery shopping to a minimum, DH has ate out almost every day in the last three weeks (the joys of staying in a hotel). Once he's home he can claim it all back as expenses but it's still had to come out of our account first.
I have had quite a few orders from my craft business though and my first sale through my Etsy shop. So I've been cracking on with those. It has meant that all the household jobs I was hoping to get done while DH was away have not happenedGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Hi Star,
Have we been living in the same household for the past 3 weeks? DH hasn't been away but might as well have been. He's been coming home at 3am and back out again at 8am, including the weekends. We've just come back from a few days away though so all is good again. It's so tough on your own though isn't it?
Well done on the Etsy sales!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Good grief CMD. That's a long time to be out of the house. Not really enough time to sleep either. Is that through his work? Bless you though. It's hard on your own isn't it? Glad you had a nice holiday though. That's what we need but can't til half term.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
DH is home today. Can't wait. I've missed him.
I've been slowly decluttering again. I've already filled 2 boxes for the charity shop and a bag of kids clothes to pass to a friend. Still hasn't made a dent in all the clutter we have  I really have to keep at it and not give up when I get bored lol!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
