Hi Pippi. Yeah blisters were ouch. I've covered them back over again now and hopefully they'll heal quickly.

We've had a good day today. I got some free tickets to an outdoor theatre event for runners on Thursday. Looks...um...interesting?! It's set in a forest, says to expect about 4-5miles of running and doesn't start til 7.30pm!! A few of the girls from my running club are going too so it should be a laugh if nothing else :rotfl: Tickets were £14 so I'm really lucky to have been given them for free. :money: I've just got to try not to fall over in the dark :o DH said he has a head torch I can wear so I should be okay. Fingers crossed

Morning. I'm just having a quiet cuppa while the kiddies are still sleeping. I'll have to wake them soon as we've got a busy day but I hate waking them when they look so cute sleeping

I must remember to take my letters for posting (and actually post them) while I'm out. They have been sat there for almost a week now :o

Hope everyone has a good wednesday. See you later

I did manage to post my letters yesterday :j I'm not the best at actually posting letters. I usually either leave it in the house or carry it around with me for ages before I remember to post it. So that's brownie points for me :D

I'm going to that theatre production tonight. I have to admit I didn't really fancy it but I am trying to push myself out of my comfort zone a little bit and this will definitely do that!

Right DS has a party to go to this afternoon so best get sorted for that. I'll let you know how the theatre goes

Hi Starnac - let us know what the event tonight entailed - sound interesting.

My boss did a run in the dark recently and said it was a lot harder than she thought to get her bearings!

    I hope you enjoyed it!

The theatre thing was amazing!! I can't recommend it enough. It was like Red Riding Hood for adults. The runners were hunters and the walkers were gatherers. We had to hunt for the wolves while they tried to find the bride who had gone missing (suspected eaten by wolves). We ran up and down steep hills, through the forest. We had about half an hour of daylight before it got dark and then we were running around with head torches. At the beginning the faster runners took off and then had to wait for the slower runners but as it got darker we all stuck together which was good as I was pretty terrified. I was more scared of being at the back and having something touch me I think :rotfl: over active imagination, me??

I would definitely do it again and I would have paid £14 for the tickets as they were well worth it.

3x 7k cross country runs in 4 days? That's hardly taking it easy. I find cross country much harder than road running. Keep that up and you'll be much better than me. Well done

That theatre thing sounds ace Starnac! Did you organise it yourselves for your group, or was it on a set day and you just went along? Will investigate :D

It was a proper theatre group. We were just lucky enough to get free tickets. Would you like me to see if I can find the group's name for you?

  • That event sounded amazing! Hope you've got some less daunting fun stuff planned for this weekend my dear?

Are the tiddlers still off? I'm all muddled with the holidays this time round - they seem to be after easter.
