School holidays are in full swing here. We've just got back from a couple of days by the seaside. We are so lucky that DS's godparents own a caravan that they let us stay in free of charge. The weather has been awful though. How we didn't wake up in Oz the one morning I'll never know :rotfl:

On saturday I ran the Half Marathon (with Mo Farah :D ) in awful weather. It really was dreadful. But I did it and I enjoyed the run which is better than last year. It did show that I need to put a lot more work into my distance running though as I really struggled towards the end :( My legs felt dead. It didn't help that my fee were so wet that my socks were slipping and my feet are now covered in blisters

Payday here so done the money shuffle. DH gets paid middle of the month and apparently he is due a lot of overtime payments. If he gets that in this pay we have agreed that it will pay off my overdraft completely, giving us one less O/D and a bit of a mental boost too.

I feel that we are letting money slide a bit and I need to get a tighter control on things again. I will not leave this year in debt. I know I've said this before but it is getting ridiculous! We need a good plan. And to stick to it!

Ooh, well done on beating Mo Farah in the half marathon :D (it's all about how much time you spend out there in the rain, you know, and I bet you were out for longer than him! :D )

Good luck sticking to your debt free plan! :D

Oh I was definitely out there longer than he was. I'm pretty sure that by the time I had finished, he was home, showered and in his pj's :rotfl:

Need a bit of a list today as I have been faffing about. Some of it has been productive but other bits (reading a magazine) not as much :rotfl:

DH built the kids a den last night so they have spend most of the day playing in it. They even had their lunch sat in it! Apart from the stray foot or hand sticking out, I've hardly seen them all day! They have made up for that in the noise stakes mind you :rotfl:

    List today
    [STRIKE]check banking[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]HC[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Check out selling sites for my makes[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Washing up[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Go for a run[/STRIKE] (this evening)
    [STRIKE]Price up bits needed for bathroom[/STRIKE] £207.52
[STRIKE]Sort some of the paperwork on dining table[/STRIKE] Fly lady-esque 2x15 mins done
    Hang clothes up in bedroom
[STRIKE]Check out door signs for DS's bedroom[/STRIKE] similar to his sister's

Think that'll do. Off to start in the dining room

Well my list yesterday seemed to keep me on track. I got pretty much everything done and dragged my sorry backside out for a run. First proper one back after the half. My trainers reopened the almost-healed blister scabs, and I just didn't have the motivation at all. Still I managed a slow 5k so that's better than nothing.

I've also started a 30 day abs challenge. Day 2 done and I can feel the soreness from yesterday so hopefully it's working. Only another 28 days to go :rotfl: I have hardly any strength in my core and I know it affects my running form so I need to do something. I'm planning on re joining the gym next week when the kids go back to school too.

Lovely day here today. We've been out this morning and managed to get a shop done on the way home too. Kids were pleased at being out in the sunshine so that's good. They got to see some chickens and rabbits and even a tortoise, which DS was very impressed with. He seemed to forget that we have one here!! :rotfl:
