Thanks PBR. Yes we did celebrate the day after. We had a little tea party which DD enjoyed. She set it all up with DH while I popped to the gym to do a class so it was "a surprise" for me. Bless her.

Not much going on here. I am enjoying the classes I'm doing although the scales are showing no benefit yet. I am hoping that if I do a bit of shuffling I may be able to afford a 2nd month there. But I'll have to see.

I've been getting back into my sewing too which is nice for me. But I am finding it hard to find time to juggle everything as when the kids are in bed I find myself so exhausted I just collapse in a heap on the settee. Need to sort myself out really as that is the best time for me to do knitting/ sewing or even some cleaning. I have the motivation just not the energy

Bit of a funny day for me today. Feeling a bit down as I've had 2 funerals in the last 2 days :(

DS is at the childminder today so I have tried to keep busy in order to avoid sitting on the settee and comfort eating everything in the cupboard. T be honest I haven't done half the things I planned to do although I have done other jobs instead. The sun has come out here so I've done 2 loads of washing and hung it out on the line -bliss! I have also planted tomatoes, onions, carrots, potatoes, lettuce and rocket. My hazelnut tree was replanted on Monday and I am currently soaking the 4fruit trees I had for my birthday in water as per instructions. :D I will plant them on the weekend.

I have opened nearly all the windows to get some fresh air in and I've even attempted to fix the split in my wellies. I don't think it will hold for puddle jumping but should be fine for time spent in the garden. That was a job that has been there since last summer  glad it's finally done.

Thanks guys. The one in particular was awful.

The past month has definitely been a lesson in appreciating what I've got. First my friend lost her husband (both the same age as me) then this week friend's of ours lost their little girl (who was just a couple of months younger than DS) :(

If that was not a wake up call to appreciate my family and everything I have then I don't know what is!

So I've started putting a bit of money away each month. Not a lot but at the moment every spare penny I have goes to our debt. This money will then be our fun money to spend during the school holidays. It won't be much but it'll be something. It may cover petrol to visit my sister or a picnic a couple of times. I don't really mind but it'll take some pressure off during the holidays so that we can go and do something as a family.

Money wise. I have had my pay slips but nothing has gone in my bank yet. I know one pay will go in on Tuesday. I'm hoping the other will go in tomorrow. I am currently deciding how best to *spend* the 2nd wage. At the moment it's looking like paying the last bit off the j/a o/d then sending the rest to the window loan. I may do a money update then too as it will be a good amount off the loan.

    .

How horrible - that's awful. From what I've read on here, it sounds very much like you do appreciate your family and everything you have. Hugs to you though.

Hope this week is a better one for you all. :A

Thanks PBR. My family are my world but I just hope they know that.

Pippi I forgot to say. Yes I did plant my fruit trees they are looking very fine indeed. In fact my cherry tree has flowers coming already :) I'm so excited for fruit. I hope they do actually bear some fruit this year even if its only one!

It was quite a nice day here this morning but I just went to hang the washing out and a big black cloud came over so I've put it on the Airer instead. :(

Pay from job 1 went in today and last pay from job 2 is going in tomorrow. Once both pays are in then I can do the money shuffle.

Hope it's a nice day where you are

I have been very sad recently but getting through it now. Kiddies and hubby are probably overwhelmed by the hugs and kisses they are getting. Which is not a bad thing really.

Pay day yesterday and all bills out today. I had hoped to pay more off but I was silly and ended up in my overdraft again so had to make up for that first!

    £150 paid to car loan
£200 to j/a O/D and that is now gone :j so we are officially overdraft free now. (As long as I manage to stay out of mine this month!)

Account looks a bit tight but my car is full of petrol, there is food in the cupboards, all bills are out so apart from new school shoes for DD (she's desperate poor love) I don't foresee any major expenditure.

In fact we have booked a kidsmarket which is like a car boot but only for kids' stuff for this month so that's a good money making opportunity. If we do well then that's a lot of clutter out of the house on top of the money we make. Bonus :T

    Afternoon.

Today is a 'meh' day as in I've got loads to do but I really can't be bothered. I've got to gather everything together ready for the weekend (I hope I'm prepared enough!!!), tidy up and just loads of general things really.

Can't do it tonight as we have been invited for tea by the lady who runs the youth activities in the area. Turns out she actually lives just up the road from me! She would be a good contact to make and she seems like a good sort inviting the 4 of us to dinner considering she's got 3 kids of her own!

I thought about taking some flowers as a thank you but they are so expensive  I thought I might re pot one of the lilies we have growing in a nicer pot and take that instead. Does that look cheap?
