Payday today! :j finally. I haven't actually had time to do a money shuffle yet though. I think I will have to wait til the kiddies are in bed.

We've had a nice day today. DD and I made cakes (most of which have already disappeared :o) we've played peppa pig and generally had a lovely day together.

My race for life pack came today so that's made it very real for me. I am out for a run tonight after DH gets home. I'm trying to go out every other day as it is only 4 weeks away now. I did treat myself to one of those armband thingamajigs to hold my phone as I have downloaded a training podcast which I use. It came today and I put my phone in it to try it and now it's stuck! the popper won't undo. At least I know my phone won't fall out while I'm running I suppose

Payday for me has been and there have been some good payments this month already.

    £150 off the car loan
£106.29 (rounding down accounts :o) to the window finance

That brings us to £3,300.44 paid off so far to year. Not exactly brilliant figures but okay.

DH gets paid mid month and he is planning to make an overpayment to his credit card. Hopefully he'll be able to pay about £200 off. Fingers crossed. I'm hoping June is going to be a good month for us money wise.

Hi OF and LT. Nice to see familiar faces around here. Hope you are both doing well?

My big news today is that I ran the Race for Life! :j it was so good. I ran most of the way (walking for about a minute around 4k due to steep drop in the path) and I finished under 39minutes with I am really pleased with. I feel so proud of myself. I wasn't sure I could do it and actually felt sick walking to the start line! But I did and what's more my mum took my kiddies to watch me and DD was so proud of me she kept cwtching me once I'd finished. It made me want to cry with happiness.:D

DH is going to get us a takeaway on the way home from church (we take it in turns to go to the evening service) and I plan to open a bottle of wine. I know the takeaway isn't very MSE but I actually feel like I deserve it for once. :o

We didn't have a takeaway after on Sunday evening. DH was going to text me on his way home to see what I wanted but he left his phone at home so couldn't. So we just had nachos instead which we already had in the pantry. So we saved some money there.

I did manage to grate my thumb which doing the cheese though and that really hurt yesterday. Coupled with all my aches I felt very sorry for myself yesterday. Much better today though :)

We are cracking on with the dining room. All the paper is now stripped and apart from a little bit at the bottom of one, the alcoves have been knocked out :D The house across the road has got builders in so I went over yesterday and cheekily asked the plasterer to come and give me a quote to skim the one wall, which is original plaster and has crackled, and also to plaster the fireplace in the front room which DH has been saying for months he will do *insert rolley eye smiley* the quote was pretty good so after talking to DH I am going to ask the plasterer today when he can come and do it. I'm quite excited. Even though it means spending money we hadn't budgeted for it does mean that it's not ANOTHER job half finished! And that is much better for my mental health

Yes you'll feel so much better once it's done :) I hung some pictures at the weekend which have been floating about for ages and now they make me smile every time I look at them - must be lovely to be organised and tidy ALL the time mustn't it?!
