That is good your DD doesn't have a tv in her room . My Oh's 3 year old neice just sits in her room watching videos.
Is you son going through a development stage as that can often affect bedtime. Poppy only recently started going to bed without a fuss but last couple of days she hasn't been as good, think it might be down to her mmr she had a week ago though.
Thanks wendz. It could be I suppose. He has just started crawling but is still so frustrated. He sees his sister walk out of the room and wants to go with her but can't. He would love to be able to walk and is pulling himself up on everything and making you hold his hands so he can walk. But I think not being able to do it himself yet is frustrating for him so he started crawling instead.
I'm just tired of fighting him all the time but putting up with a grumpy baby isn't much fun either
Sorry guys I'm just feeling a bit sorry for myself at the momentGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Oh bless him, must be hard when he can see his big sis doing lots and he can't join in. Hope he gets out of this stage soon, I know how hard it is when they are grumpy.0

I hope you have a happier baby now Starnac
It does get easier - i am guilty of sending my two to sort themselves out and get into bed and ill come and give them a kiss later(only on the odd occasion if i am busy!) They are 9 and 6 x

maybe not quite happier but we do have a better nap routine in place which makes him easier to deal with in the daytime. Before I have always cwtched him to sleep in my arms. Yes I know it's not good to do this but both he and I like it. Or used to anyway. Now he scratches me and pinches me and kicks me, anything to get out of my arms so he doesn't have to go to sleep. He has started to hurt me and it really upsets me.
So now when he gets tired I bring him up on the settee where we play quietly for a little bit, then I take him up to bed. For the last couple of days when I've done this he has fallen asleep within a minute of lying down. :j and he has a proper sleep too so he is less grumpy during the day.
Now if I can just get bedtimes to run as smoothly so I can have less stress in the evenings and maybe even a little bit of me time.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Morning all. Hope everyone is well. Things are going pretty good here at the minute. Although I don't want to say that too loud
Should get some money in tonight for some work I did last month so that'll help with the budget a little bit. DD's ballet class has now finished for the summer holidays so that'll save me £4 a week. I might try and save that if I can.
I started piggy banking last month and it worked really well as I could see exactly how much I had left for what. I had one for ballet class, one for bus fare, one for fruit for DD to take to school and a shopping budget. I overspent on the bus fare but underspent on ballet as the teacher was ill one week. I would like to keep this up if possible.
A friend gave me £5 for altering her daughters prom dress. Should have asked for more the amount of work that was involved but I wasn't convinced they would actually pay me to be honest so I'm happy with the £5.
I go back to work in 2 weeks. Although it would really help the finances I really don't want to go back there. I have applied for another job and should hear about that this week and I have also applied for another job but that is dependent on securing funding so I am not holding my breath for that one yet. At least I have finally started doing something productive instead of just complaining I don't want to go back to workGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Well done on the piggy banking Starnac. Sounds like it is keeping you organised. We meant to do this with out shopping budget this month so we could see what we had left Will perhaps do it with out remaining budget. Need to arrange with hubby though as he pays for the groceries within his money
Good luck with the job you have applied for xOrange Fairy

Well it's been 2 weeks since I came here as I started back to work yesterday
the shift itself wasn't too bad although I was told it was only an hour and I ended up having to stay for 6 1/4 hrs
I came home and just burst out crying to DH. I think he had seen this coming though as he had cake ready clever boy! I just feel so guilty about leaving the kids. DD hasn't been well and I had to leave her (with DH so not too bad) it was terrible. It has helped me realise that I really do not want to be there so I have to actually get going on other things so I don't have to work there.
I know I keep saying it but I really need to DO something now.
I didn't get the one job I applied for but the funding for the other job is starting to look promising. I've been told September so hopefully thats a realistic date.
DH was away with work last week as extra so paid all that money off his c/c meaning we only need to pay off another £125 to be under £5k. :j
Orange Fairy the piggy banking seems to be working well for us. Have a try.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Oh Starnac I'm so sorry you feel like that about the job - poor you - going back isn't easy is it? I'm sure you know in your own mind what's best for you and the family. You're a girl who really knows how to work things best for herself and her loved ones.
I wish you all the success in the universe.
And woo hoo to being under £5k

Not quite under £5k yet so save the woohoo please. You won't have to save it for long hopefully
Thank you for your kind words. I know me being at home is best for the kids but the regular money is useful for buying stuff and paying bills and thingsi have actually started to put into place a plan to replace my wages while being at home with the kiddies. My problem is I'm good at making plans but not so good at carrying them out. I do realise that I need to do something so I have made a list of what I need to do to get the ball rolling and have started crossing things off it.
I suppose this is my lightbulb moment work wise :rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
