i am sure that the window will be paying for themselves in reduced power costs, so eventually you will be quids in.

congrats belatedly on the new addition. Any luck finding a new job?

glad you're in a better mood and you got some time even if it was just to do the housework and laundry. My sister would love to see the bottom of her laundry bin but then with 4 kids it's a hopeless cause. Specially as they've not been 'trained' properly.

Are they males by any chance? :rotfl:

Hi chev thanks for dropping by. The house does feel warmer since we had the new windows so I don't feel *too* bad paying for them.

I haven't looked for a new job for a while. Been enjoying my mat leave to be honest but I have my back to work date which is mid July so I need to get a move on. I have been considering a patchwork lifestyle which would allow me to take the kids to school and pick them up, and would allow some flexibility during school holidays etc.

I really need to sit down and have a good thnk what I want to do.

How's things in your part of the world chev?

    Evening all.

I can't believe how lovely it has been the last couple of days. It has been is nice weather wise.

DH had a day off today which is always a bonus and we've had a busy day out in the garden. DH has started sorting the shed out and found a load of seeds we'd bought/been given and had forgot about so DD and I (she only does half day in school on a Monday) had a planting session. Some will live on the dining room window sill for a while as they were late planting and it's like a greenhouse there when the sun is out.

DH has half built our greenhouse so hopefully it will be finished by the time they are too big for the windowsill.

I nearly started painting the kitchen while tea was in the oven but I made bread and butter pudding instead to use up the bread before it went stale. On the up side the paint and a brush is now out ready to be used :D

DH is off tomorrow too so hopefully we'll get quite a bit done then too. Baby clinic tomorrow so I'll take my pudding to be weighed. ;)

Best go water the plants now the sun has shifted from the garden

    Bye x

Starnac my sisters kids are two of each so two of those should know better. :)

i painted our utility room on sunday in readiness for the washer being plumbed out there, but that ended up being shambolick mess so we've to wait for Monday for it to be sorted out. That and warn the neighbours that we'll be turning their water off for about an hour on that day so we can fit another stopcock indoors.

Oh dear at having to turn your neighbours water off. Hope it ll gets sorted LT.

We've had a busy week here. DH and I have managed to sort out most of the garden, we also now have loads of space in the shed too.

Kitchen and living room have been blitzed and we are trying to keep on top of the clutter by tidying every day. Working so far so let's see how long we can keep it up.

Last night I sewed together the wrist warmers I've made. :D I really like them. DH has had to admit that they are "me". I'm in the middle of making DD a dress to wear for her schools jubilee party tomorrow. I just love how they tell you these things with such short notice. It's all cut out just needs sewing together once kiddies are in bed.

I've also got to decide what to wear to church's jubilee party Saturday. Someone suggested wearing the dress I made for my birthday but I'm not sure. I have just been given a great idea from the small things thread but I'm not sure I'll have time to make it. I'll have to decide tonight so that I can make it tomorrow.

DS is going to his godparents tomorrow so I've got the morning to myself (shame DD only does half day on a Friday :( ) < naughty mammy :o that gives me time to get some sewing done. I've got some crafty bits ready to do with DD tomorrow while it's just the 2of us so hopefully we'll have a nice afternoon.

Right I'm off to decide what to wear on Saturday.

Last money update was the 1st march :o so def time for a new one. It's been slow going here as I'm only bringing in SMP so DHs wages are covering a lot more than they used to.

    Money update

    NW c/c (DH) £2114.05
    Windows £3860

    Total £5974.05

Got £70 to pay off c/c tomorrow. Might get DH to pay off the odd 5p too as it drives me mad

Not great but not bad either. Under £6k is a good place to be but really it should be a lot lower if my wages were better.

Got a few things lined up for June though. Loads to list on eb4y, freeads etc and looking around for a car boot. I've got back into my crafting again so may resurrect my misi shop (or open a new one on folksy or somewhere)

I need a good kick up the behind to get on with these things so I may post a to do list tomorrow to keep track of what I have/haven't done. Then I will rely on you lot to [STRIKE]make[/STRIKE] motivate me to do it ;)
