    Thanks orange fairy.

We dropped the money off to the hospital earlier. Took us 2 attempts though as SOMEONE *coughs me coughs* forgot to pick up the bucket with the money in on the way out. :o teach me to rush I suppose

More good news. I saw an article on here about how mortgage companies raised their exit fees without telling customers. The article advised ringing them and asking for the fees back. DH rang our old mortgage company and they said they would look into it. Yesterday we got a cheque for £150 off them :j thanks Martin :money:

i keep meaning to make those calls Starnac, maybe when i've found all the paperwork.

30's not that bad, bit of a shock, but my life changed during my 30's. I faced my debts (fingers crossed they will be gone during them as well, found myself a hubby, bought a flat, sold it and bought a lovely house with potential.

Sounds like 30's is THE decade then LT. :D

I hope I don't find myself a hubby though as I already have one ;)

LT if you are calling about the mortgage exit fees then you don't need the paperwork. We didn't have them so the mortgage company did all the work for us. It was fab!

Since making my dress for my birthday party I have been looking for something else crafty to do. Now I haven't had this urge for quite a while so its nice to have it back. Yesterday I unravelled a cardigan I knitted for DD about 2 years ago which she had grown out of by the time I had finished it :o

All unravelled I have started knitting myself some wrist warmers after being inspired by a picture I saw on a friends cheery blog. ;)

I also got DH to take down one of our very plain off white/cream curtains (charity shop) and I drew the embroidery pattern I've been visualising on them since they went up 18months ago. Today I have been using the time while DS has his nap to embroider the pattern. So far I have completed 4 pattern repeats with 2 more to go. Then I'll move onto the 2nd curtain or they would look very odd ;)

My mum had the day off work so she offered to have DS for me while I took DD to ballet meaning I could sit and knit while she danced as we are not allowed to watch the class. I am halfway through the 1st arm so 1 1/2 to go :D the baby is loving the wool so I have to make sure it goes away when he's awake or he'll pull my stitches off the needle.

I've had to put my embroidery down now as its getting dark outside so the curtain needs to go back up. DH will get it back down for me tomorrow. I'm sure he must feel like the grand old duke of York and will probably be glad when I'm finished :rotfl:

your curtains sound fab, can't wait to see a piccy of them hint hint. I'd love to be able to do something like that on my craft room curtains but i'd become obsessed about getting the patterns perfect on each panel that i would end up tying myself up in knots.

LT will post a piccie of the curtains when they are finished. I have almost finished one curtain so almost half way.

OF tell me more about your cushions.......

Slow going here at the moment. I wasn't well yesterday and am feeling a bit down today. No particular reason why just am. It has meant that I haven't got much done today though. :(

Thanks LT. I'm feeling better but DS is teething I think and has been so grumpy. Pretty much all he's done for the last couple of days is scream. The teething powders seem to be working now though as he seems much calmer today. Fingers crossed.

I have finished one curtain and it looks okay. I was pleased the other day as I was babysitting for a friend and when her mum came to pick the kids up she said how lovely my curtains were. She hadn't noticed that they didn't match! I do like it when someone compliment something I've made when they don't know it's handmade!

That reminds me my mum had a funny conversation with someone who came to my party. She kept asking my mum where I'd got my dress from. She was insistent that id got it from London! She would not believe I'd made it! I did think that there was no way I could afford to go to London dress shopping! but it was a nice compliment in a roundabout way.
