your curtain looks fab|! you should be so proud of yourself, and just think no one else will have curtains like those in the whole world.
Hope DS settles down and his toothipegs give him a break soon.0 -
No one will have curtains like it at the mo cos we have mismatching ones :rotfl:
The more I look at them (well the one that's finished anyway) the more I like them. They fit in well with the shabby chic look we have going on.
Plus when they are both finished I will have a very unique "designer" pair of curtains for the grand total of £4! :money:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

What a week! DS seems to finally be more himself and a bit more settled. So glad I dye my hair though I'd bet it's completely grey under there now
I am so shattered. Could do with a day doing nothing. Unfortunately 2kids make that impossible. Can't even afford a holiday while I'm on mat pay and I really don't want to go back to my job.
Wow this is a depressing post. I'll sign off now and come back when I've got something a bit more cheery to sayGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
hi hope your off finding something cheery. I desperately need to colour my hair as i know it's grey. It's just a job i hate doing so very very much.
I've had a lovely day in the garden today, my first in this garden and it is starting to feel like it's ours. IYKWIM0 -
I don't think I have ever dyed my own hair LT tbh. Ever since I started dyeing it as a teenager my step dad has done it and he still does
he does a fab job, I hardly get any dye on my skin and the colour is so even it almost looks natural.
Well done on doing stuff in the garden on the weekend. DH informed me this morning that he is going to sort the garden out tomorrow while he's off. Not while that sounds like a good thing it does bring me onto my rant of the day....please look away now
MEN!!!!!!!!
Last night DH offered to take DD to school for me this morning as he wasnt starting work til mid morning. Lovely gesture, a nice lie in for me. Thank you oh loving one. Not. Alarm goes off this morning and DH ignores it, and ignores it and ignores it. Eventually I get up, wake DD, start getting on with morning things. He comes downstairs and says "I'll get DD ready if you want" lovely I can have a cup of tea in peace. He finishes the sentence with "that way you can get started on the washing!"
DS then wakes, prompting DH to claim that now he can't possibly help DD get ready as he has to look after the baby! how on earth does he think I manage on a normal school morning???
Which brings me to my next (and last thankfully) point. Tomorrow DH has a day off work. Lovely! A day where i have a bit of company and a some help looking after a grouchy baby (I will be glad when all his teeth are through). No DH declares in the car that he is going to spend the day sorting out the garden, which leaves me again holding the baby (literally). I know the garden needs doing, but so does a lot of other things. Plus when do I get a day off and get to do some things that I need to do?
Men just do not think.
Rant over (you can all come back now)Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
bless you! i've had more than one Men! rant.
Mine is obsessed with getting the second bedroom decorated and sorted which is going to cost a carpet and double bed, Me i think we need to do the utility room and swap over the washer and dishwasher (already bought lino, kitchen cupboards, worksurface and paint) and our bedroom (paint already bought). I just cant' get him to realise there's things which are important and those which are not so, and we need to save our money for the bathroom which needs doing asap. grrrrrr!0 -
In a much better mood today you'll be glad to know. DH looked after the baby for me so I cleaned the kitchen (so rock and roll) did some washing (I can now see the bottom of the washing basket :smug: ) then sat down and did some knitting. I've now finished my 2nd wrist warmer. Just need to sew them up and ta da a lovely pair of wrist warmers just in time for summer :rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
