    It's been a while since I posted.

I haven't been sleeping well so have been tired and grumpy the last week. Ivevhardly done any housework as my motivation seems to stay in bed when my alarm goes off, and the house looks like a tip. It has to be tidied by Friday though as someone is coming to cut my hair.

Really pleased actually. I found out the woman who does my eyebrows also cuts hair. I asked how much and on Friday she's coming to cut both DD and my hair and to do my eyebrows all for less than I normally pay just to have our hair cut  I will not be going back to my regular hairdressers (provided she does a good job) She cuts hair for a friend of mine so she should do a good job. I'm so glad I had the conversation with my friend now about hair!! :T

Haircuts were pretty good actually. Mine was a bit short on the sides but that's fine. Will be using her all the time now.

I managed to beat my 100 day challenge target so DHs c/c is now under £2k :j I'm starting to feel like we are getting somewhere again. :D

It's less than 4 weeks before I go back to work :( now while that is good on the finance front I'm really not looking forward to going back. I'm really dreading what kind of atmosphere I'll be going back to. But realistically I can't stay off any longer. We need the money so I'll just have to suck it up!

We took a bag of clothes to one of those recycling places yesterday and got £3 for it. Not bad really £3 and one less bag of carp in the house. Must really get going with listing stuff on FB selling pages and fleabay etc. maybe that could be my challenge for the rest of this month

I hope it isn't too bad either orange fairy.

We've had a productive weekend here in the starnac household. It started with me having a bit of a meltdown though :o

DH worked late 2 nights this week leaving me to put both kids to bed on my own. That's fine. Except DS has been the grumpiest baby ever this week and has cried and grumped a LOT. So when I could have done with a break from him I couldn't as DH wasn't home. (I have new respect for single parents) then to top it off DD decided those were the nights she was going to be naughty at bedtime......and boy do I mean naughty!

I felt like such a bad mother not being able to do a simple thing like putting two kids to bed by myself. And to top it all off the house was a tip!

So Friday DH really got it in the neck. He agreed to give me some time to myself while he looked after the kids so I could do whatever I wanted by myself. I did a bit of knitting Friday evening and finished 2 projects which always makes me feel good (finishing stuff I start is not a strong point for me :o )

Then yesterday we spent the afternoon upstairs tidying. In our bedroom you couldn't see the floor from where the ironing all got dumped so all the clothes got put away in their respective rooms, DD tidied (with help) all her toys away, and we even went into the baby's room and sorted out his clothes into too big/small piles.

We even sorted out bits and pieces as we were tidying giving us a big box of stuff to sell. If we can do downstairs and the spare (junk) room now as well then we should have a decent pile of things ready to do a car boot.

I also seem to have my crafting mojo back and have been making quite a few things.

So all in all I seem to have a more positive mindset which I am going to hold onto for as long as possible :D

hi, i can understand where you're coming from having a meltdown, sometimes i get the same way when it comes to getting things done in the house.
we don't have kids so it shouldn't be as bad as yours but why oh why can't Mr LT put washing away, put it in the laundry bin, take it upstairs when it's clean, take his glass/cup/plate through to the kitchen when he goes to bed?
I'm not perfect by any means but now we've more space to put stuff away which should make it easier to keep on top of things, some things are really driving me potty. lol

congratulations on getting under £6k that's fab!

good luck for when you go back to work, fingers crossed it won't be as bad as you're expecting.

i need to find my crafting mojo again specially now i have a craft room/office. Need to finish sorting everything out though first.

PS post DD up to me if she gets her naughty knickers on again.

(My friends all threaten their children with me, dunno why - something about pretending to peg DS's ears to the washing line once - which is now a bit of an urban legend in our circle!)

(I didn't really, but I have that reputation, so who am I to argue - I also peg out lugs at night (so I hear) which makes bed time much easier in some situations!) OK, so I might have put on a head torch - picked up DD and a couple of pegs one evening when she was being completely ridiculus............funny she seemed to want to go to bed then.

    xx

You're doing ace and we all go through it - hugs - doesn't make it any easier.

If folks are being really naughty I've also been known (when I know its safe and where everyone is) to plunge the whole house into total darkness with turning the power off. Just for a tick.

Then again, as I fine my children in electricity (eg no power/lights/games/tv etc) if they are naughty - I guess I'm evil.

My two are a bit young to fine in electricity but I will be doing that when they are older! DD is only 4 and seems to be the only one in her group without a tv in her bedroom  she still won't be getting one though.

Love the idea of pegging DDs ears to the washing line.

Any ideas to make bedtime easier will be gratefully received. It's the worst part of the day here now DS has developed an aversion to going to bed too. :(

That is good your DD doesn't have a tv in her room . My Oh's 3 year old neice just sits in her room watching videos.

Is you son going through a development stage as that can often affect bedtime. Poppy only recently started going to bed without a fuss but last couple of days she hasn't been as good, think it might be down to her mmr she had a week ago though.

i think my sister has a reputation which would match Pippi's, hers involves the threat of ears as well which is strange/small worldy.
