I don't think they would use it on Question Time.

I dont think that was the point of what he was getting at though.. Certainly theres not a lot of polish shops in other parts of the country so im guessing the other poster lives around london where there is a high concentration of them..

Leaving aside the gastric delights , don't you ever tune into BBC's Crimewatch programme?
Is there or is there not a disproportionate amount of crime committed by our foreign friends?

cricks, this is a colourful topic. But, although they are entitled to some benefits there not entitled to the same as we are for a long time. When in uni we had an asylum seeker come in and do a talk to us for multicultural education. Its surprising what happens, but also they can't look for work while their application is under proposals, they often have to stay in a hostel for a long while and they often do a lot of volunteering which goes unnoticed. I must admit the country is full to the brim, but really theres not much we can do to get numbers down but they need to be capped at a radically reduced rate as we are full. But there are places where people still are in fear for their lives - i know if i was in their situation i would want to leave. I think the only way it would ever happen would be if the world was a more peaceful place- ie no more wars, no more violence etc, but I can't see it being in my generation if ever.

asylum seekers in glasgow, lets see, are there no other cities between glasgow and their home country where they can be safe?
safe doesnt mean free house and benefits, work like a dog, and be paid dog food (or similar) and be bloody grateful for it, asylum seekers=benefit cheats.
