The mad thing is is that its an EU dictat that we have to support them if they claim asylum. They dont do this in France as they know they'll not get a lot but every euro country should be taking them in. Plus we have to thank Labour for this too.

I visit a lot of asylum seeker families once they have had a baby. I saw two last week, both living in 3-4 bedroomed riverfront apartments. I could never even dream of owning a property like that!! (Bet the yuppie neighbours are impressed too!)

i agree 100% if i go to Luton or Watford i do not hear many english accents anymore i find it very scary the amount of asylum seekers are coming into the country,hospitals,schools and housing is fit to burst the doors should be closed until this country is well and truly back on its feet and no i am not racist just think enough is enough,for now anyway.

Do you ever watch 'Border Patrol' on TV? What I can't understand is how do people from Afghanistan & Iraq get all the way to France then have a ghetto there where they try everyday to get in to England?
Didn't these other countries they travelled through stop them and send them back, it seems not, what did they say, "Oh it's OK we are not stopping we are on our way to England," so they let them through?

Lots of them try everyday to get here, a lot get caught and sent back but also some slip in, they get jobs working in restaurants and car washes, they pay no taxes because they are here illegally, if they get caught the person employing them gets a very heavy fine.

But you lot are forgetting the VITAL role that we are told immigrants play in our society.
For example , I see some of them everyday selling copies of Big Issue and begging by making an appalling job of trying to knock a tune out of an accordian.
Also , they obviously help the Inland Revenue by spending their income chain smoking and help the telecoms industry by having mobile phones apparently glued to their heads.
We are thus enriched.

You are meant to claim asylum in the first free county you reach, the only reason they head for the UK is because of the amount of benefits they will receive.

Sorry to all the do gooders,but i am of the opinion stop the handouts and they will not come which may release properties for our own people and give us more revenue for our pensioners and sick.Rant over now

Indeed stop the handouts. We should also stop them to the 5 million brits who get some form of benefit by dubious means.. Oh yeh we would also get fined millions of pounds by brussels for doing such a thing..

The first thing we need to do before we do anything about people claiming asylum here is get out of being in the EU. Thats why other countries are happy for them to pass through to us.. Though i must admit that both Germany and France have massive immigration problems too.

Also what about the true Asylum seekers? what do we do about them? Do we not do something good natured and help them? How do you differentiate on who is real and who is trying it on?

Genuine Asylum Seekers I do not have a problem with and never have had. However, To be granted Asylum or a stay in the UK and then start shouting your mouth off that you want things your way is beneath contempt .
If you are here be gratefull, get your head down and make a new life for yourself while following the laws and customs of your new country do not start shouting the odds.

I suggest you go to Islambad or Karachi and start shouting about how you do not agree with the laws or customs of their country, your feet will not touch the floor, you will go missing and end up with a bullet in your head .

Its mealy mouthed do gooders like you who have caused the problems in this country and will be the first to scream when the riots start and believe me they will.

I think its meant to be tongue in check commit towards some of the more right wing and uneducated comments on here.

People need to get a grasp and learn to distinguish between

Economic migrants
Refuges
illegal immigrants

Britain has a long a proud history of being a place of refuge of those escaping prosecution and I'm proud of my country for doing so and continuing to be a place of refuge. There no such thing as native English man/women, humankind did not evolve in Britain its just about time scale.

Yes the biggest problem job wise in this country is foreign people taking away our jobs, but its companies outsourcing there job to countries with questionable human rights and worker rights. This is the biggest disgrace and we seem to happen just watching X factor and getting angry about illegal Immigrants. Than to demand from companies they show some responsibility for there action. We're happy to buy clothes made in sweatshops by small children, to drink products that are made by companies that involved with the violent and murderous treatment of trade union works and fill our cars with fuel from companies that exploit the third world natural resources and destroy there environment.

The whole immigration argument are just a media creation to hide these facts from the general public to keep them angry about loosening there jobs to the wrong people and keep us consuming. As long as were angry at a small group who have not got the finances to defend themselves all the better it is for the international corps.
