After 12 years he's down to taking his holiday in the first month of the holiday year and can't take them any earlier.
So, no gain and no sustainability.
As I said, you can't improve "maximum gain", but he has worked out how to spread holidays evenly over 60 years, which is what he wanted to do.0 -
Strangely I do keep finding myself drawn to this thread.
What I think Mumbles has done is to define a method of taking his holidays earlier and earlier each year until the point he has to stop because he won't have enough accrued holiday at which point he'll take his holiday at the same time each year.
What he's failed to grasp is that this doesn't improve his terms and conditions one bit. Dividing a gap between holidays by the number of years and assuming that a lower number is better is simply riduculous.
My holiday year runs in line with the calendar year. If I wanted I could take December off - I could then January off as well with next years holiday. According to the 'strategy' I'd be infintely better off which is flawed. All I'm doing is taking my holidays when I choose - maybe I'm meant to start a new job in February and hope that HR don't deduct pay for the holidays I've taken but not accrued.0 -

Actually that's not what he wanted to do. If you read the very first post he was telling us what he had actually been doing for years, taking his holiday a month earlier every year.
He only switched to the 6 days as an example because people thought the month one was rubbish.0 -

The only post where aims have been stated is #382. I'm ignoring posts (such as the first one!) that don't fit with these aims as otherwise the whole thing is an undefined mess.0 -
This is very funny!
I read up to this:

What I love best is the way that the OP thinks the norm is for everyone to take their holidays all in one go at the same time each year.0

I like how he's now able to unleash his strategy on the world only because he's no longer working.0 -
This is only his first strategy. I'm wondering what other strategies he has waiting to be unleashed.Hope over Fear. #VoteYes0
