Have read all the posts and have decided the following

Both people have taken the same leave over 12 years - 12 months.
If both people leave at the end of the 12th month in year 10 Person A can take a month of annual leave before going but Person B i.e you would have to work till the end of year.
What you are suggesting does not work!
lets start in year 1 both accrue 2 days per month so all square
in year 2
person A works 11 months until his next holiday
person B works 10 month until his next holiday
and this goes on until end of year 12 or both leave company
pick any leaving date and count number of accrued days
so in year 12 person A has accrued 12x24 days = 288 minus the 12x22 =264 taken holidays which equals 24 so he leaves with 24 days extra pay for those days he never took or he could leave end of oct
in year 12 person B has accrued same number of days
so he also has another 24 days so he can also take december as holiday and leave with 2 days extra pay for the days he never took
so both employees received exactly the same pay but person B only worked 10 months between holidays while person A always worked 11 months between holidays
for me 12 years working 10 months with 1 month holiday is better than 12 years working 11 months with 1 month holiday0 -
If you have a fixed amount of holiday allocation per year then you can't gain any holiday by moving your holiday forwards a month each year.Happy chappy0

Your reasoning is flawed.
Your effective pay rise takes no account of how many days are between your holidays.
The ratio is just the number of days you are paid for divided by the number of days you work in a year.Happy chappy0 -

For gods sake, how thick are kids these days!
You may work 10 months then have a month off, but you still have to work from when you holiday ends until the end of the holiday year not accruing any holidays.
And at the end of 12 years you will have to work 11 months with no holidays and not accruing any.
And at the end of the 12th year you will have worked 12 years and had 12 months holiday.0
