I put mine up on the 1st Dec for indoors and out however my outside lights have been up since last weekend. My DH works offshore and went on wed and doesn't come back till 11th dec so they are ready for me to turn them on on the 1st. Have had a few strange looks as people have walked past as I am close to a school.GC July £250/0

The 1st December for mine, except the real tree which can't be put up until about the second weekend in or it would die!
We have two other fake trees we put up though
It is so tempting to do it this early what with all the Christmas adverts on TV and the stuff in the shop. I feel if they go up this early I'll be sick of it by the time Christmas comes. I'm always glad to get them down early in the New Year, so putting them up on the 1st and taking them down early January works great here!0 -
1st dec, I would be very tempted to put them up earlier but its my daughters birthday on the 30th Nov so we wait until that has gone pastDebt free wannabe

Although I have a work winter ball on the 4th so cant do it then as DS wont be here (going to Auntys for the night!)
Cant wait to put them up though - makes the house so cosy! :xmastree:Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas."

The decorations go up around my birthday which is the 13th December. Although the last few years they have gone up slight before because that's when the weekend was and I had the time! It felt weird breaking my tradition so to speak but grown up practicalities just got in the way!2013 Free Money - £363.44 Topcashback
