Hey all,
Just dropping by to let you all know that baby Leon was born on his due date of 24 Jan 2011 at 8.08am weighing 3.58kg.
Only seven hours of labour due to induction after my waters broke two days earlier.
I know I haven't been around in the past couple of months, but a huge thank you to everyone for the help and support throughout my pregnancy.

Sammi - I usually go for the coldsore patches as I get mine just under my nose, so end up catching it every time I blow my noseJust had a look at the instructions on the patches and there's no mention of avoiding them if you're pg, so I've popped one on for today. Also got teetree and witchhazel for if I decide to stop using the patches. If I go in to labour I'll pop a patch on whatever. Don't want the risk of welcoming my sproglet in to the world with a coldsore.
Cleaned my fish out today, which makes me feel a bit better. They were starting to look a bit miserable in their slightly cloudy tankIf having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -

Can understand that hun but you have many more symptoms this time which is reassuring for you (yep I'm still stalking you).
Thanks ladies feel better today, I probably shouldn't though, woke up at 1.30am for toilet and couldn't get back to sleep so thought I would read for a while, DD came up crying at 2.50am and that was her awake until 5.30am  Dh and I ended up arguing so not a pleasant night all in all. DH ended up stomping out of the house at 5.30am!!! We are ok now and we managed to clear the air about some things, well DH got off his chest some of the things that are bothering him!
Had 28 week appt this morning, BP slightly raised....no kidding LOL! but everything else was fine, she said I was measuring big for my dates but that's neither here nor there, I have been expecting to anyway even if the measuring isn't that accurate.
Well better get back to work I suppose, will catch up later hopefully. Take care ladies x"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Congratulations ASHeta :j
Well, I'm still here, getting bored of this
Not too uncomfortable, and I keep reading back over my list of things to appreciate this week, but I want to meet my baby, and get the painful bits out of the way!
Thinking of you and hoping your hospital appointment goes well, and that your bunny is getting better Giz, and hope Flower is getting mummy cuddles by now.0 -
Sorry missed some posts as I was typing, I have to be careful at work as my colleague sits behind me and I have caught her on more than one occasion turning round to see what I'm typing  so whenever I think she is doing it I have to close down the window, it's so rude!
Hugs to Charlie hope you feel better hun x
Well done Asheta quick labour!
Oh and one last thing from me, I seriously need to look at my diet, I am hungry all the time at the mo I have been drinking more water to try and compensate but that aint doing the trickhealthy snack suggestions please

Excuse me Lady but I vaguely remember someone posting on my FB that her OH had ordered her to take it easy!!!!!! :rotfl:
Seriously though Anni don't be doing too much if you can help it though as you will pay for it and be even more stressed at being sore when your MIL is there xxxxCharlie1978 wrote: »Hi ladies. Sorry i've not been on. Been on a bit of a downer so thought i'd take a break for a while and come back when I felt a bit better. Well... when I thought I felt a bit better lol. Midwife appointment today had me in tears. Work are being awkward and have changed all my hours round yet again. Which means i'm going to have trouble making all the appointments I need to have. She told me she was booking my GTT in for Monday (i'm already at the hospital on Monday for Growth scan) and I just burst into tears wondering how i'm going to make up the hours! I'm self employed and so don't get paid for any times off. Great!Looks like a Monday Morning hospital for me then!
Apart from that still suffering backache/hip ache. Every morning is extremely painful. So so tired it is unreal. Midwife advised if it all gets too much then i'm to go to the doctors as once depression sets in it can be a slippery slope and hard to get back on an even keel. So I came home and scoffed a load of chocolate to make myself feel better! It will be my last now though until after GTT results.
Feel cacky and just want a hug
Hope everyone else is doing better than me! Oh and Debs... after 12 weeks you won't believe the difference time flies. I know this one is a sticky one for you and have everything crossed. Hope time is on your side and goes a bit quicker to get you to your scan and give you the reassurance I know you must so desperately want xx
Huge Hugs directed to you Charlie....I agree with the MW that if it continues to go to the GP...they are recognising the fact that antenatal depression is a big problem....I have had dealings with it and a few of the other girls on here are also having dealings with it so it want to come on here and shout and rant and scream or just cry please do....it helps to get it out xxxxx
Ok where is OTE....I haven't seen her on FB never mind on here...hope she is getting mummy cuddles lol
Dusty don't be getting yourself stressed...I have heard of other PG ladies having much worse prangs and it can be down to baby brain xxxxx
Congrats Asheta enjoy your mummy cuddles with Leon xxxxx
been asleep most of the morning so going to have my lunch now be back later xxxxxThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -
Congratulations Asheta!
Sammy that is hilarious, I wonder what the other people reading will think!
Giz - that is good your OH is looking after rabbit today, hope its doing OK!
Dusty - sorry to hear abour your prang, hope you are ok!
Charlie - sorry to hear you are feeling down. That must be really hard not being able to take paid time off.
Alamaya - glad appointment went well and all is looking good.
Teenie - glad your appointment went well too. My blood pressure was raised which I am not surprised at after the stress the nhs caused me the day before lol.
Labour vibes to all those who need them!
OH managed to steal my pregnancy pillow last night! Went to loo came back and couldn't find it anywhere and he was cuddling it, think he needs his own!
He also very lovingly laughed at me last night as i picked something up as he said i bent my legs like a giraffe as i can't bend down that well now. So he is now calling me George the giraffe lol.0 -
