Giz, I can't say much about the measurement as not sure what the 'norm' measurement is for that stage, but hopefully it's just baby curled up tightly or something. If all your other ones were normal then surely this one should be OK.
Sorry to hear about your rabbit :( Bless its little heart. I hope s/he gets better, it's very worrying when they stop eating, and especially when you are worrying about other things. Have you rung the vets?
They say that the fundal height measures the same in cm for how many weeks along you are. So at 40 weeks you should be 40cm. So I'm technically measuring 34 weeks at 40 weeks. But at 38 weeks I was measuring 38 weeks. The midwife said she had no choice but to refer me to a consultant even though she's sure it is just the position of the baby. But even so, you can't help but worry about these things. My blood pressure was a bit higher than it has been today (probably due to my bunny being ill). But I bet it's even higher tomorrow due to the stress of having to go to hospital too. And I have to do another pee pot. I hate doing the things. And I'm annoyed that I have to go to hospital as I really really thought the next time would be when I am giving birth. And consultants always run late. Basically I don't want to go and I'm sulking :o

Thank you everyone for your kind words and support though.

I've been to the vets twice in the last 2 days. Today I demanded an antibiotic injection for her, which she gave. I feel the injections have a better effect than the oral medicine so hopefully it'll give her a boost. I've been given proper food for syringe feeding which is what I spent most of tonight doing. It's hard work though as she just won't swallow it. So if she doesn't eat her normal food tonight then I'll be syringe feeding more in the morning. I've also shown mum what to do just in case I go into labour...

    It's just such bad timing.

Baby is poking my cervix again.

Going to have a read back on all your news now then have a bath and bed.

    As posted on another forum.
Looking for any comments i can get :)

anyone around my stage around that can confirm what movements are like for them.

I get the flicks from the inside for a couple of days then 3-4 days of barely anything and doubting wether what i feel is kicks.

Today had no flicks but feeling twitches on what i would guess is my cervix.

Last week i could feel kicks from hand on stomach these past couple of days cant really feel them other than the odd one.

Is this all normal? Because everyone else i talk to on other forums gets kicking every day all day

    sad.gif

Midwife appointment tomorrow so can check then but still disheartening

    24w 6d today
I think this all sounds normal or at least what I was experiencing. I found icecream would get a reaction out of baby, maybe some bubble like feelings deeper inside. They are so small at this stage that they can move around a lot (as I believe Chakani already said).

In terms of extra washing, I think it's down to personal preference - I'd rather have a bit of extra washing than keep having to shop for nappies and empty the bin all the time so for me it was less work.
I didn't think of this, but this definitely applies to me. Our wheely bin gets emptied once every 2 weeks and it is FULL to the brim and we're great at recycling. So I'm not sure where the disposable nappies are going to fit! We will be using disposables until baby fits the one size nappies.
Hello ladies and bumps. Happy due date giz and labour vibes to chakani. Had my 38 week app today and mw said that I am still 4/5 engaged so she said now it is just a waiting game. I am thoroughly fed up today and have cried 4 times already today.lol. my feet have swollen so much that i am in a lot of pain so just vegged out on the couch, Please send me labour vibes, i want this baby out of me now.lol.
Labour vibes to you. Can I have some back (but for after Saturday please). I'm 2/5 engaged. I still don't know if your midwife has got her numbers the right way round. I double checked today and 2/5ths definitely means I have 3/5ths of the head engaged and 2/5th is what they can feel.

    @EA - nice bump pic :D

Labour vibes to Giz and Chakani - don't want either of you taking over my mantle as longest at the top!

EA - could you email me one of those cakes please, I need a sugar top-up before LO's afternoon feed and our cupboards are bare of any tasty treats.

Just to reassure everyone I'm not lurking here because I'm still pregnant - I just popped on to say I have posted my birth story in the usual place if anyone wishes to read it - it's an eventful but positive one.
Oh thank you :j Off to read it now then I'll have me bath :)

Well, that's me at the maternity with a pessary in place. It has started to do something. I'm having proper backache and interesting cramping/ period pain.
The thing stays in for 24 hours unless I go into labour or have something go wrong with me. Then they assess if the cervix is in a good enough shape (3 to 4 cm) dilated to go into delivery suite where they put me on an hormone drip.
I just hope I manage to get some sleep tonight as I could be here for a long time!
All the staff I met today are really nice and friendly. Still a bit anxious but feeling well looked after.
Like they say, every little step or contraction is taking me closer to my wee baby!
Good luck flower. Hope things get moving for you...

  • Fab bump pic RBG - I'm guessing boy bump

Can't wait to get cot in nursery! Well, can't wait to actually HAVE a nursery :rotfl:We have some lovely light yellow paint to do the room with first, then can decide whether to put up a nice border or some random animal pics. Am thinking about zoo animals. All depends on cost though!

Giz, I hope bunny responds to the syringe feeding :( When one of our guinea pigs was ill she had an injection first then the medicine in her water. Think the injection was what did the trick though. It is so difficult to get them drinking/swallowing if they don't want to. How old is bunny? I really hope she gets better x
Thanks for explaining the fundal height thing. Hope hospital don't keep you waiting around too much tomorrow, and you come back with good news. Sounds like you'll be fine, but worth checking out x
  • Like the pic RBG.

It's such a wild night here! Rain was horizontal and is now trying to turn to snow and the wind is really gusting. Too loud to sleep just yet, so I'll keep knitting for a bit longer.

Hope everyone has a good nights sleep x.

Snow?! Oh no! It's pretty windy here, but don't think it's raining. Hope it doesn't stop you sleeping.
