I live on 1st floor in a purpose built "apartment" so stairwell is v wide and no access problems - but she didn't even ask me that anyway! Just said no straight away - the midwife I saw at booking in was only covering for another midwife who was off sick so Im hoping that the one I see at my next appointment is a bit nicer. Im not even 100% if a homebirth is what I want but I would like the choice!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0

I have a cot, yay! :T Just been delivered by 2 very nice M&S delivery guys. And I've just ordered this from Mothercare, oops.
In-laws took me to the midwife yesterday and asked if we still had things to buy, so am doing them a list and they can choose what they want to get from it.
As for due dates, I'm gearing myself up for the fact bubs might be early. Of course she'll now be really late.
I'm feeling quite dodgy today, head is trying to pound and just feel a bit weird, so taking it easy.
I ordered baby wool online last week, my mum is getting the knitting started. I got this pattern and I fancy doing the leaf blanket, will try a square and see how I get on...
Hmm, we'll really need to write a will once bubs is here. My mum and dad would be the ones to look after her if anything happened to us. FIL has terminal cancer and I don't see eye to eye with MIL in regards to parenting. I have 1 SIL who is older and single, but she's very different to us in her outlook and lifestyle.
On a positive note, I am feeling so much movement now, althugh it was quite painful earlier when she found something round my pelvis to bounce on! Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -

Is it the M&S bargain cot posted on this thread Garnetlady?
I'm getting it delivered on 26th Feb - is it any good if so?0 -
Do you know if the M&S cot is height adjustable? I ordered one but if it can't be adjusted we will need to buy a different one.0

What a chatty lot you are this afternoon LOL!
Well that's the hygienist done and dusted for a while, was sick afterwards though _pale_
Have scoured the town for Scampi Fries and I can't find them anywherehave one last place to look though.
LOL @ Giz yeah baby poo is quite intriguing and you will find yourself discussing it with parents/oh/friends :rotfl:I have had some crackers and been forced to cut DD's vest off it was so bad:D
I'm not anti cloth either and in fact all for it, it is just all the extra washing and trying to get things dried that puts me off too. In fact I would say that the ones going to be using disposables seem to be in a minority in this forum.
As far as guardianship is concerned we are a bit stuck too, I have thought about it for a couple of years but I just don't have anyone that could take over that role. We have friends andi family but nobody really suitable, either they are not maternal or have had their own family or not settled enough. It does concern me at times.
Annibee glad you're feeling better, rant, moan, cry away we all do it as some point, and you certainly don't come across as someone who moans all the time, I usually find you quite upbeat"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Just popping on to say I've got my 20week scan next week and I'm very excited
I'm lucky with the Will situation as I work as a legal sec so I can literally write my own and just get a solicitor to check it. For those of you who are thinking about making a Will I'd just say beware of 'cheapy' ones, quite often they'll offer to store the Will for you "for just £10 a year" and then they'll put it up a little every year and assume that you'll just keep paying it.
My brother-in-law will be guardian of bubs in my Will, although he's alone we reckon he's the most responsible!
Feeling heavy and sleepy today...Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

As posted on another forum.
Looking for any comments i can get
anyone around my stage around that can confirm what movements are like for them.
I get the flicks from the inside for a couple of days then 3-4 days of barely anything and doubting wether what i feel is kicks.
Today had no flicks but feeling twitches on what i would guess is my cervix.
Last week i could feel kicks from hand on stomach these past couple of days cant really feel them other than the odd one.
Is this all normal? Because everyone else i talk to on other forums gets kicking every day all day
Midwife appointment tomorrow so can check then but still disheartening

Pampers or bounty website has a method for checking if movements are anything to worry about, maybe check out their websites? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

alamaya, how much I feel and when seems to vary. I have days of lots of movements and kicking, then much quieter days and generally on those I feel smaller movements but further inside. So I think it depends how bubs is lying, so I'd say don't worry (easier said than done, I know!). But have a chat with your midwife just to put your mind at rest. Mummy to an amazing little girl0
