Well remembered!!!!
I eventually phoned the non emergency number (it was in the front of my notes with the midwifes name) and get one of the community midwifes to send it out to me in the end.
Thanks Teenie and all - I wonder why I don't have a 24 week appointment?
Also another thing I meant to ask - have any of you been offered a 28 week growth scan routinely?
I was chatting to a colleague yesterday who is further along than me and she seemed to think that you have to request the scan?!
I had assumed that any growth scans after the 20 week scan were offered to women whose baby's were small for dates?!0 -
As far as I know, you will be offered a growth scan only if you need it, you can't just request one and won't be offered one as routine.0

I'm not sure if this just counts over here but I was not permitted to fill in my MATB1 form until I was 25 weeks...I tried to get it at my 24 week appt with my GP but was refused and told that because it is a legal document it can't be signed until 25 weeks HTH xxxxThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110

Yes, you should do, as you get it around 21 weeks (I think) I know its before 25 weeks as this is when you have to let your work know about the pregnancy....
GB - laugh at your little one :rotfl:
Flower - Have you had a sweep or anything yet??
VB - I finished at 38 weeks, but I get bored very easy on my own and I worked at a desk all day - Only been off a week now and dont know what to do with myself, can't concentrate on a book or TV.
I've got arnica for the bath, as it supposed to help with bruising, thought this might be better than ointment/tablets?
My mw just left, baby is fully engaged..... She's booked me in for a sweep next Thursday morning unless there has been an arrival.... looks like another weekend of curry and pineapple :rotfl::rotfl:
I had a sweep last week. The MW was quite happy with the state of my cervix: it had gone short and soft and started to dilate. So I was pleased with my cervix :rotfl:
Nothing came of it though. Next step is tomorrow at the hospital to be induced.
Has anyone been induced with their previous pregnancy? I really want to keep it as natural as I can. I guess, I'll have to wait and hear what they feel after they've done an internal. I'll be EDD+12, I might choose to wait a couple of days to see if labour would start on its own.
On a different note, I finished work 10 days before my due date. I'm so glad, I did leave it till late as I too get bored very quickly. There is so much cleaning, cooking, shopping and interneting and TV watching I can do. And I don't seem to be able to find anything else to entertain myself.

(((hugs))) hope that goes ok, i dont know much about being induced though, although I think I would wait as long as I could before I would want inducing... I think someone on this thread held out, but it was before my time.....Challenges - repay all credit cards by end of 2015Starting the savings for retirement :rotfl:

I suppose it depends on each hospital but ours only offer it if they think baby is too big/small for dates. If baby is too big they keep an eye on you, if baby is too small they keep an eye on you - Jeez they are never happy :rotfl:DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz

Interesting - Hungry & Sharkey are MIA.....
Just having a lazy day today. Am zombied in front of the tv. Need to get my bum in gear and put some washing on and do the washing up rather than rot my brain with Jeremy Kyle.
Kind of wish I was MIA though. Sproglet has shifted again. Instead of having feet wedged in my left ribs, they're in my right ribs. Still feel mostly back-to-back. Part of me wants to be able to do the simple things, like put socks on, sleep comfortably, not have to go for a wee in the middle of the night etc. Another part of me realises that life will never be the same again once monster is here.
Not had any more regular BH/contractions since Friday. Maybe we will stay the course after all.
Now just got to eat more raisins and prunes as these iron tablets have bunged me up again
Hope you're all having a more productive day than me.If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -
SJP - I'm here, although had a cleaner in this morning hence why I was MIA. Felt terrible that we were paying for someone to do a job that I should be able to but, she was fantastic and I now feel like I am living in a new house lol. So..... I dont want to mess up my new kitchen so Mr Sharkey is taking me to Frankie and Benny's for a late lunch/early dinner, cant wait, can pretty much taste it already sooooooo hungry.lol.
No more twinges from me today, so looks like the past couple of days were just false labour which is really disappointing as I am now 100% ready for bubs to get here. Lets hope everything goes as well for me as it did for the polish lady in OBEM last night - she really was fantastic even though her BF was MIA - Mr Sharkey wouldnt get away with that
Hope your all having a lovely day.[/COLOR] Starting the new year in a good way cooking baby sharkeybabe no2:j:j0 -
Hi All! Not had time to catch up much as still working full time and been busy at home too getting things ready for baby. We are sorted now, ready and waiting! CONGRATULATIONS to all you new mummies, the pics I have seen are fab
and hope all the rest of you are feeling well
3 weeks and 3 days to go until D-date. However had the midwife yesterday and baby is still breech, and she doesnt fancy the chances of he/she turning around now. Got scan on Monday 7th and if baby is still breech then they will discuss options and book a c-sectionI know this may sound crazy to some but I was looking forward to going through labour and feel quite cheated at the prospect of just going into hospital, being operated on and then the baby being there. Plus not keen on the recovery time either. I know there is nothing that can be done about it, and will do whatever is best for baby, but the thought of it keeps getting me down. Anyone on here know what I mean? I hope I havent offended any of you who have had (or are going to have) c-sections.
Also, anyone else experienced breech babies after 37 weeks turning??? I am guessing it will be obvious to me if baby makes a move to the head-down position?
As always, thanks for reading and any advice/words of comfort will be greatly appreciated. This place is my first port of call when I have questions etc, you are all fab!!!:j Baby #1 due 25/02/11 :j0
