Yep, this is my second. First was 10 days over, I think I might actually get violent if this one goes that far. I know I should be making the most of the last few days of peace, but it's hard to do when you're waiting, isn't it? (It gets even worse when you get past the magic EDD) - I can't remember who said it's like Christmas day, but no presents or Christmas dinner, but they are so right.

Tell him to take you out for a gorgeous meal to make the time go faster :)
I think I'm coping alright (although I'll let you know if things change after Wednesday). I'm generally quite a pessimistic person so since getting pregnant I've really had it in my head that baby will come middle of February. What doesn't help is hubby saying every morning "no baby", and the inlaws yesterday making comments as if I'm literally going to give birth in their kitchen. And my mum phoning daily just to find out if things have started in the night. :) They are all making it worse for me!

I hope you don't have to wait 10 days for this one though.

I've got a few things planned for the next couple of weeks. It's my birthday on the 9th, so I'm having a small party on the 5th. I'm making myself a birthday cake on Friday. OH is taking me out for lunch on my birthday if baby hasn't arrived. But unfortunately he is working lates for the next few weeks, so no meals with him in the mean time.

Is it normal to feel as if baby is poking his hand through my cervix? And what is it? Is it just pressure from the head?

Krystal can you not use it and if not I would contact groupon and tell them the place hasn't been able to honour the agreement......I had a friend in work who bought an 'overnight stay and party night ' which was how it was advertised in the email and when she bought the voucher it turned out it was for the party night and she contacted them and they refunded her xxxx
I'm sure if I rang now the place would probably be able to fit us in, but it's a decent trek and it would involve childcare... Of which I have none... So it's more we can't do it than them IYSWIM...

It's like a group discount website... The premise is, they offer something at a drastically reduced amount and if enough people take up the offer then the deal is on... Some real pants stuff comes up but occasionally some decent deals on meals out and things come up...

Giz, you might be right on your hunch... When I was expecting DD1 I had it into my head that I couldn't go overdue with her or something would go wrong... I went into labour the night of my due date and she was born the net day... With DD2 I was expecting to go at least a week overdue... She was 9 days late...

This time I have a feeling it will be a couple of days before due date... But that could just be wishfull thinking lol...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

    It's quiet tonight.

I'm impatiently waiting for OBEM. While still being poked in the cervix. It really hurts! I wish I knew which way baby was facing. I've not had a single kick in the ribs this whole pregnancy, but he's been head down at every midwife appt. And supposedly in a 'good' position which I assume means not back to back.
