Well, I never quite got the sewing machine out - but I did recover all my dining chairs with toddler-proof vinyl fabric, and made a tablecloth. Maybe I'll get on with the rest when said toddler goes to bed.

Giz, tell your OH he can wait his turn for his baby! :D

Aw guys I am soooooo tired! This is ridiculous, a mega early night hopefully so will miss OBEM.

Apricot well done on finally getting round to telling your boss, obviously not the reaction you hoped for!

ok I have a bit of a random question/story/thingie - Im in pain. Have been all afternoon - got braxton hicks but not only stronger than normal but they are killing my back.....

Ive had problems with my back in the past - I have 2 slipped discs and one is already squashing my sciatic nerve so I do sometimes have a bit of pain anyway but this is different feel like someone is kicking me in the back or something.

Bump is moving but every single movement seems to be hurting me (and i mean hurting not just uncomfortable) it seems further down than usual so dont know if its on a nerve or something?

Anyway is it normal to be in more pain with baby number 2 because I cant remember this with ds1 Im really tired - but im presuming thats because of the pain. oh isnt home till 8 but when i put ds to bed I might try a hot bath?

Can you use a hot water bottle in pregnancy im thinking about having one on my back after the bath might also help.

sorry for the long ramble but honestly its getting a bit unbearable. I cant sit down coz it hurts and if I stand up I start having a bloody braxton hicks :(
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Never Look Down on People unless you are helping them up

Ooh, I bought a groupon today too... Dudley Zoo for a fiver each... Not quite a romantic getaway lol...

Although I did buy a nice tea for two for hubby's birthday in December and they couldn't fit us in, the voucher expires soon so looks like that was a wasted tenner... I would have really enjoyed it too...

Anni, yes you can use hot water bottles. My physio recommended them to me... Maybe the baby has just gotten into a funny position... Hopefully a warm bath and hot water bottle will sort you out xx
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Yep, this is my second. First was 10 days over, I think I might actually get violent if this one goes that far. I know I should be making the most of the last few days of peace, but it's hard to do when you're waiting, isn't it? (It gets even worse when you get past the magic EDD) - I can't remember who said it's like Christmas day, but no presents or Christmas dinner, but they are so right.

Tell him to take you out for a gorgeous meal to make the time go faster :)

Anni you can definitely use a hot water bottle on your back, physio had told me this today but I hadn't even thought about not being able to use one and have been when my lower back has been sore......have you been checked for SPD as it was confirmed for me this morning :S I was having back pain with my BH a couple of weeks ago too :(

Krystal can you not use it and if not I would contact groupon and tell them the place hasn't been able to honour the agreement......I had a friend in work who bought an 'overnight stay and party night ' which was how it was advertised in the email and when she bought the voucher it turned out it was for the party night and she contacted them and they refunded her xxxx
