Please don't think we are having a go, I'm sure I can speak for the others when I say this but it is genuine concern for you. I can't stand to think of anyone being on their own:(

This Pixie. I didn't mean any offence either.

You'll make your decisions and it looks like you're well equipped to do so! Good for you!

Hope we helped a little bit and we're here anytime as you know xx

    Evening ladies.

Just back from watching 127 hours at the cinema, it was ok. Prob not worth the trip out, bubs hated the noise!! Lots of squirming and wiggling. Can the noise be dangerous??

((hugs)) to you pixie. I've had my own issues with OH as the ladies here will know. He isn't a liar but he simply won't talk to me about the most important things. He'll happily talk about what to have for dinner but won't talk about how we'll cope financially after the birth. Very frustrating.

I honestly think from what you have said, your OH Is simply immature, and doesn't realise the impact of pregnancy. You need to talk to him but no harm in sending him to Coventry for a few hours ;)

In other news I did my primark swoop tonight, bras, nickers, comfy trackies, baggy vests for breast feeding, easy access pjs.....all for £50:money:

Hope you've all had lovely evenings, any news from mi3???

    Xxx

    And it's purple. Even better.

Which one did you get in the end??? I'm looking at the Elle Tens, think I might hire one in the morning....

    Any new arrivals???

  • Yeah he is immature. But then I forget that I'm more mature than people my age. In fact, midwife says the reason she forgot to put me in contact with young parents groups is because she forgets how young I am. I matured far too early. :P

Coops not too many shifts to go now, bet you're glad!
    QUOTE]

Ha Ha, sods law is that I come in tonight to an e-mail from my useless boss asking me to come in and work some dayshifts next week because one of the guys has just gone on paternity leave and of course the boss hasn't organised cover because it came out of the blue!!!! lol. I just don't know!!! I am sure I can come in and manage a few days, especially as I will be paid extra and claim travelling expenses!!! (I don't officially start my ML until the 24th Feb).

Giz - yeah, I know what you mean about when OH is working at night. My OH is now working from 6am until 7pm for probably the next month and I really miss him being about and talking to him. Not quite as bad as yours but I do sympathise with you. ((hugs))

Annibee - ((hugs)) hunni for having a rough time at the moment. Keep posting and we will try to help if we can.

I'm a repeat pee pot user, had it since 8 week booking in appointment!!! Lovely, but at least they wash it out for me.
I also didn't hear baby at my 16 week appointment as the midwife said if she couldn't find it, I would just be worried.

SJP - your boss sounds like a gem!!! What a lovely thing to do, send you that e-mail. Wish we all had bosses like that!!!

Wendz - I have been told I am just getting the one anti-d. The one for 28 weeks (although I got it at 30wks as they didn't have any in stock for the 28wk appointment). I thought they'd done away with the 34wk one?? Pehaps another strange thing between regions....

Sharkey - :j at OH at home and settled back in and woo hoo for the possibility of little sharkey coming along soon.

Hello to all the other lovely ladies, (((hugs))) to all of you who are suffering pain due to legs/hips etc. I know, it's not fun. Hopefully we might have some more birth announcements, and perhaps pictures!! to look at soon.

Not much happening with me. Tired tonight but somehow I am slowly getting used to it!!! lol

    Later......:D

Love, love LOVE my birth pool - I've just been sitting in it reading a book, and it's eased all the sore muscles in my back and legs. I think I'm going to miss it when Lentil arrives :rotfl:

Welcome home Mr Sharkey, and a smacked bottom (in a naughty little boy way, not any other, you awful lot) for Mr Pixiepops.

Nice to see you all sounding so upbeat this evening :) Lentil has been bouncing on my cervix all day, I can really feel it - hope she's not as heavy as she feels! But also hoping that the bouncing is her trying to get things moving. I have a sweep booked for Monday (day after EDD - love my MW) if she doesn't feel like being on time.

    Evening Ladies

29 week appointment went fine. Heartbeat was fine and I'm bang on in the middle of the range on the growth charts. Took some bloods and then I was sent on my way!
Yay! That's great :) When's the next one?

Thanks all. No, he is a compulsive liar. Even things like 'what did you have for lunch?' he'll lie about. Thing is I know it can be an issue for some people. My mother was told she was a compulsive liar when she was a kid and it was something she genuinely couldn't help doing so when I started living with her at the age of 7, I grew up learning how to tell truth from lies through body language, etc and also how to find evidence. I think to some people lying gives them a rush and they get caught up in it and can't stop doing it.

I mean OH spent that whole weekend texting me saying he was at his dad's (I was suspicious already as something hadn't added up quite right). The reason I tend to get suspicious and look for clues (I sound like scooby doo) is because I'm paranoid over everything. Literally. I mean he can't even make a cup of coffee for me because I get paranoid he's put something in it. And not just him, I generally can't have people make food for me and stuff unless I 'accidentally' wander through the kitchen a few times. It's just part of anxiety and depression and stuff all rolled into one I guess. In fact, thanks to my information sourcing, I became the 'Queen bee' with my friends and actually got the nickname of Blair (as in from gossip girl) for my ability to find stuff out.

So it's not that I'm a stalker freak that sits and writes everything he says or does down, it's that I know if something's off and I have a somewhat photographic memory (it's actually horrible, I can still remember the answers to a memory test I did in Year 8 and I don't choose what I forget, if it sticks, it's stuck :S) So basically when I log onto facebook to check my notifications and something crops up on my news feed, if it has something to do with someone, I sometimes remember something related to that day/subject/piece of news etc, IYKWIM. My mind is like a library cross-referencing unit :P

With regards to OH, he has now explained that he wanted to see his friends and wasn't sure how I'd react. When I said well why couldn't I be there too that weekend like we planned he said that he hadn't told them about the pregnancy yet and didn't want them to know plus with the pregnancy making me feel sick and tired he thought I wouldn't have gone with him so he couldn't have gone. I am now giving him the cold shoulder and he's apologising profusely. I don't think he'll be crossing me again as this was his one completely thought out and apparently foolproof lie and I cracked it so he's FINALLY realised that on the lies it's a complete game over for him.

He's supposed to be coming here again this weekend so we'll see.

And yeah if I was to start going into labour the only thing he could do would be get the train. It takes 3 hours but it's our only choice really. I mean, if baby comes early he'll still be in Reading as he works there and it's pretty well paid.

Can't really add anymore to what's been said, but lots of hugs hun xx
Well I did a multiquote as I caught up but firefox crashed and its all gone so am clueless as to what I was going to say. I do remmeber I was going to say ...

Digitalphase - the physio I saw mentioned that pelvic floor excercises are more important if you have pelvic pain as improving this muscle helps support your pelvis and reduces the problems that can occur in the future. Also sit on thge edge of your bed to put you knickers and socks on as standing on one leg causes problems for the ligaments in your pelvis. As a result of this information I started paying attention to the way I stand and try to distribute my weight evenly (used the wii fit to help with this) I must say by following all the physio's tips my SPD is not as bad this time round. When I was pg with DD it was terrible and i only got to see the physio at about 35 weeks.

    HTH

And on that note... :jPelvic floor ladies :D

Thanks hun, I am trying with the pelvic floor. However I keep reading conflicting advice on how to do it :rotfl: First I was stopping a wee mid stream quickly, holding for 20 seconds, then releasing. Then I read you should stop it quickly, release slowly, then stop again even quicker. Hmm :rotfl:

I've ordered a long pillow tonight, so really hoping this will help!
