Me and my OH only agree on one name , so fingers crossed its a girl. We both quite like Hope ( firstly becoz I was told I wouldnt have children and Hope kinda ties in with that and second because he fell in love with those bears on that tv programme and they were called Lily and Hope , lol )
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Yeah, I am the same. Must say it hasn't got any better for me. I've always been a frequent wee-er though :rotfl:It's particularly fun when bubs decides to use your bladder as a trampoline

 Nooooooooooooooooooooooo! You didn't see how jumpy baby already was at the 12 week scan! It was already bouncing around everywhere! My poor bladder... I already had slight bladder weakness before the pregnancy _pale_

Aw that's so sweet, DH just felt my bubs kick a couple of weeks ago, it's quite a shy wee thing and will try and hide when you touch him/her. DD used to just kick me back whenever I gave her a prod LOL :D

I think that's maybe why she kicked so hard that night, I was having a prod lol.

Woo for DH feeling bubs Garnet :) OH has felt ours a lot, but it is still special when he does. Impressed at yours moving the book - can you sign them up for football this early?!?

She must take after her daddy ;), I'm not at all sporty but he is, still plays hockey after giving up badminton, golf and rugby!

Oh and I don't seem to have been added to the secret group, either that or it's so secret FB didn't tell me! :rotfl:

Oh and I got bubs a pink top from Peacocks that says 'Daddys Little Girl' on it for whoever was asking about that sort of thing.
 Mummy to an amazing little girl

Pwease can someone help me? Ive asked this question before and got no response as I think a couple of ladies went into labour lol. We are getting the quinny buzz and my mum and dad are buying the carrycot which says on t'internet is safe to use like a moses basket, any ideas where I can purchase a stand for it ?

Lablover I just googled the carrycot and the Kiddicare reviews say people use it on a normal moses basket stand when in the house.
I like the name Hope (but that is OH's sister's name) - we can't agree on any so far - Im sure it'll be easier once we know for definite if bubs is a boy or a girl.

  • Cool, we were deciding between the Sola and Zoom, but went for the Zoom in the end. We wanted a carrycot, and the Zoom comes with one already. Incredibly easy to push, love M&P buggies. Looked in Mothercare and Babies R Us after M&P and found all the buggies in there really bulky and no way as nice. Also fits in my car a treat, with room for a few shopping bags :T

We're planning on baby sleeping in carrycot for first few months. Didn't realise you'd need to buy another mattress for overnight sleeping. Getting fed up with all these additional hidden costs I keep finding out about :( I'm sure much of it is unnecessary and scare mongering. Plays on worriers like me

I'm not sure about this - I would have thought if you brought the carrycot from new the mattress would be fine for sleeping?
Think it's only 2nd hand mattresses that they don't advise use of due to SIDS

EDIT - I just found the mattress they advise for sleeping with the Sola and it's not too bad at 15 quid

Thanks Apricot , my mum is going to order the carrycot after 20 week scan so I might get her to measure it and then just try and get a moses basket stand from ebay. Going to a baby sale this weekend and was hoping to get one there , my SIL bout one for £2 there last time , so wouldnt do any harm to buy it and If it doesnt fit I could put on ebay. We arent planning on finding out sex so are going to draw up a list of names and cut it down to faves then once bubs is born we will try a few out and see what suits best , lol
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Yes I reckon that might be the best bet

Found this on the M&P website (sorry my fave at the moment) so it may be a case of seeing which stand fits the carrycot best

Personally I never had a carrycot I used a moses basket for night time sleeping which I never had a stand for - just used to place on a flat surface like the mattress of DS's cot
  • Feeling a bit better today. Still not had much sleep but outlook seems a bit brighter so woop! Thanks for the support yesterday guys!

Grateful i'm sorry about your news. RIP. Sending virtual hugs. xx

Congrats Jenapples! Baby boom coming indeed!

Me and OH have finally decided on a boys name. I didn't think we ever would but I wasn't 'keen' on his first choice and liked the second one but was worried that the shortened version may seem a little old fashioned. Anyhow... I really like it now and wasn't going to mention it but figured I don't want anyone to think i'm stealing their name lol. So... we've settled (I think!) on Jackson! Woo! Now i've got to tell the woman who is hand making the blanket that I want the name inscribing on it somewhere! :D (please don't let me change my mind lol!).

Labour vibes and appropriate hugs to all in need xx

Quick post from me. Wen to a party at the weekend, organised by my mum. A lot of people that i see quite regularly came and asked if i was pregnant! I'm 34 weeks today and have been huge for ages, i think people walk around with their eyes closed sometimes. Some were saying "are you sure your not having twins" and others were saying they thought my bump was small. One very rude perosn asked if i was planning on trying for a footbal team, then had the nerve to asked if he was planned. I should have told her straight-none of her damn business!!

Anyway, mondays seem to be my nesting day. I wake up thinking of stuff i want to get done-then go on a mission. Think i may have overdone it this morning as having painful braxton hicks, coupled with the baby having hiccups....but i do have a nice tidy backroom, with none of oh's boxes of cables and computer bits in My pushchair is all setup and ready along with the carseat. Wanted to move the piano into the corner of the room, but it was just too heavy ;-)

Charlie, i love that name, i had been thinking of it too, but i know oh would say no as my nephew is called Jacob, but gets called Jack.

Congrats to Jenapples, and come on you ladies in bold, lets have some more births :-)
