I quite liked my TENS although it didn't really take any pain away, just gave me a different sensation to focus on when the contractions kicked in.

And then I dropped it down the toilet while it was on and nearly killed myself ;) After that I couldn't use it obviously - and I didn't really miss it, but it was nice to have.

Flippin heck Lilian! :D that was a close one!
  • Ladies hubby is coming home for lunch at 1pm and I am still lounging in my jammies (they're comfy, have been doing bits and bobs in the house as well, lol) should I get dressed or just stay this way lol??? am undecided coz yesterday he was like are you getting dressed at some point today, for me to be dressed for maybe 40 minutes and then back in my jammies lol

I wouldn't get dressed - tell him you are saving on the washing! Make the most of PJ time - I didn't get dressed at all yesterday!

Give him a treat RBG, get dressed :) I reckon its good to keep em on their toes if he's expecting you to be in your jammies!!

 at Lillian (that made me giggle a bit, sorry!!)

GB we were similarly undecided hence going for a 2nd hand one (£53 on ebay). The Sola is fine from newborn without it (we also got the footmuff), and from what I've heard babies often grow out of them / stop liking them quickly, the lady mine was from said her girl had been in it 10 weeks!!

Main reason I wanted one is we have tickets for a festival we go to every year a month and a half after I'm due  so I thought the carrycot would help protect baby from the elements and make it a bit easier for us to go along (we are not camping this year lol, it is a 10 minute drive from home, so I'm open minded about how much time we'll spend there). No way was I paying for a brand new one tho, but quite a few come up on ebay, plus I'll probably sell it on once baby grows out of it.

Undecided about the matress as baby won't be in it overnight and based on the fact that it has had such little use. I will see how I feel nearer the time. I think the matress it comes with isn't suitable for overnight anyhow, I think I saw something on M&P website about them selling another one for overnight use...

I wouldn't get dressed at all if it wasn't for someone collecting DD1 and dropping her off after school... But even then (like today) I just put a top on and keep my pj bottoms on lol...

I've also been keeping DD2 in babygros... There just seems little point in dressing her in something when nobody but me is going to see her... I get her dressed in proper clothes if we're going out, or if someone's coming round... But I'm just thinking of the ironing pile lol...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Pwease can someone help me? Ive asked this question before and got no response as I think a couple of ladies went into labour lol. We are getting the quinny buzz and my mum and dad are buying the carrycot which says on t'internet is safe to use like a moses basket, any ideas where I can purchase a stand for it ?
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
Gorgeous baby boy born 7/7/11 :D
  • Hey all.

I really need to go back and have a proper catch up, I've been dipping in and out all weekend but that's all.

In the meantime, congrats to Jenapples.

And sorry to see you go Cutterby. I don't always get respones, even to questions, but I witter on anyway. :rotfl:

As for the 12-24 week thread, I don't really see a need. I'm at 21+1 now and seeing how many are behind me on the EDD list there are plenty around at the same stage. It can be busy though I know.

My biggest news is that DH felt the bub kick on Saturday night! :T I was in bed yesterday morning with a cup of tea while I finished my book. The book was resting on my bump and she kicked so hard the book jumped.

I might look into hypnobirthing cd's. Don't know if I fancy a tens, anyway I'd rather labour in water if possible.
 Mummy to an amazing little girl
