  • Which one did you go for HM?

Ooh, remember to share any bargains ;)

The purple one :o Sorry, I know that's not terribly helpful. It's the same one that my NCT teacher brought out to show us and have a go at. Not the cheapest on their list, but not the most expensive.

    PM'd you Apricot! :)

Oooo Sophie La Girafe is on my amazon wishlist for baby, how much did you get it for off ebay if you dont mind me asking?

I paid £8 for it BNIB so I thought that was a bit of a bargain as I know John Lewis have them for £10 something. A bit random mind as I haven't even bought any sleepsuits or anything yet - so far all my baby has is nappies and a Sophie :rotfl:

Have a look on eBay for tens machines, they seem to hold their value so you can flog them back on for less than rental cost without worrying about time frames :)

I borrowed one from another forum member this time, I never used one the last two times but thought I might give it a go this time...

I wished we had a sophie the other night too, DD2s not had any real problem teething so far but her back teeth are coming through and she couldn't get a teething ring far enough back the other night... I put her amber necklace back on though and it seems to have settled it down again...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

:rotfl::rotfl:wish I could remember which one I used with DD! The thing is does the £29.99 one from Lloyds work just as well as the Elle one at £52.00 + arrrgghhhhh!

  • Just popping back on to say congrats to Jenhugs! - missed this earlier.

We went to M&P yesterday and brought our pushchair - went to this one after lots of debate - feels easy to push for a shortie like me :)

Bless your DH - how sweet of him

My last one was a Maclaren Techno double buggy (DS and DD were 18 months apart) and though it was great for a side by side - it was also quite big and I never could fold it very easily.

Looking forward to using something slightly smaller and lighter this time :D

Trouble is - have now found mamas and papas maternity wear  - it's not cheap but it is very nice and comfy - have already invested ina couple of pairs of thier jeans.

Then he has a grump saying that I always tell him off when he does tidying up and don't let him do any. Well that's because you make things impossible for me when you do any 'tidying'.

OH is the same. Always has a paddy about not being allowed to clean. Whenever there's any cleaning to be done, I tell him I'll do it. Especially the bathroom. His idea of cleaning a toilet is just sloshing some bleach in and apparently the sink and bath don't need cleaning! So these days I just let him do it and think he's done a great job and then I'll go and finish it off by actually cleaning. I guess at least he's trying. I think it's a man thing. They don't like to feel inept. :rotfl:

Hope things start moving for the bolded ladies. Big labour vibes to them. :)

Just wondering if anybody else had a huge increase in urination and thirst this early on in pregnancy? Just on the days I actually manage to eat, I can't stop feeling thirsty. And I went out to town with OH on Saturday and I went to the loo before I left and as soon as I left I had to go again. Then he kept getting annoyed as we were watching a movie and I kept having to pause it to go to the loo. If this gets worse, I'm worried I'll have to move into the bathroom!:eek::eek:

Just caught up on all the posts over the w/e , it was very busy. GFH sorry for your loss. Jen congrats on baby, well done. When I was @ the midwife on friday she showed me where about in my tum I would feel bubs wriggle and I can confirm that after lying on my side in bed for ages I quickly flipped onto my back and felt a little wriggle, and then another , it was the oddest feeling ever.Like a little fish flipping over.Cant remember anything I was going to say really , lol Ooo remember the £5 free huggies kit thing you get from asda ? Well it was reduced to £3 gave her my voucher (had bought massive box of nappies , scratch mits and sleep suit and some other bits and bobs ) and the voucher took £5 off my total bill even tho the new born kit was only £3 :money: It was my mum that noticed , Im that rubbish with mental maths , lol.Well going to pop home for some lunch shortly totally starving
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
Gorgeous baby boy born 7/7/11 :D

    Morning ladies :)

Gah, wrote a post and it disappeared

Anyways, congrats Jen on the birth :j. There's a lot of bold ladies on the list so it looks like we're gonna have a bbay boom!

Sorry for the uncooperative OHs. I can sympathise. When it comes to DIY my DH has the motivation of a turd. But I did get him to move the bed in the spare room yesterday in preparation for decorating :j

All this talk of Tens confuses me tbh. My sister bought a machine from Boots and said that I can use it - but no idea if it was any help to her or not. I will ask!

Is it bad that MIL is upstairs glossing the skirting board whilst I'm downstairs eating crisps :o I did offer to help but she wants to decorate the room herself - so I'm not really going to object lol

Our NHS Antenatal classes start today. 3 consectutive Mondays and I'm looking forward to it. Although I did read in the paper yesterday taht the Government are looking to scrap the free NHS classes :( Not everyone can afford to pay £200 for NCT ones.

Hope everyone is well and bumps behaving themselves. Mine seems to have taken a liking to wedging a foot behind my right rib :D
