I don't take offence to things like that so you're okayI would also like to say, just for the record, I personally do engage in hair removal on a regular basis.

Does anyone know where we can find out about any benefits we may be entitled to? Apparently we're entitled to child tax credit and benefit, which I think worked out about £100 a month. I am trying to do some self employed work, but in reality it hasn't happened yet. So we're really struggling. No SMP or anything
I've been having a real 'can't be bothered day'. Got to sleep late, got up late, done some washing, that's it. Just been watching T.V. and on the Net. Thankfully it's the weekend tomorrow so will have OH to help me keep occupied. Better get up now and hang washing out, as back is starting to hurt again from sitting still.
I'm sure there were other posts I meant to reply toLabour vibes to those who need them!
A big relief to say the least
There is a website you can check your entitlements on http://www.turn2us.org.uk/benefits_search.aspx

hngrymummy wrote: »Sammi - we went mid-range. I didn't like the look of the cheapest one as it seemed to be foam covered in plastic and I thought that baby would just get sweaty sleeping on plastic. I certainly didn't want to buy the one that was filled with hand-plucked unicorn fur, sewn together by elves using gold thread and sprinkled with magic dust. Well I assume that's what it was judging by the price!
Thanks for this
:rotfl: at the all singing, all dancing mattress :rotfl:
I picked up one in Mothercare in the end - mid range at £99.99 - and I used a £100 gift card so all :money:
Now, all I ned is the shetes, cellular blanket, bouncer/rocker and something for the bath. Any ideas gratefully received
My sister used this for the first time last night. Apparently her boy loves it. Can I just use a bucket???:D

Glad you are feeling a bit better Lablover
digitalphase I intend to breastfeed and am not going to get any forumla - I think it might be too tempting to just use it. Are you far from the shops? I have a 24 hour asda 5 mins away so I figured if im really desperate for forula - OH can go there and get some.
Also - might you be entitled to Child tax credit / working tax credit?
I am so naughty today - I have literally done no work whatsoever! I seem to have just lost all motivation (not sure I had it in the first place) - I just want to go home and sleep but in reality I have so much today tonight I can't see me sitting down until at least 10pm! When does the nesting instinct start? Im desperate for a bit of get up and go!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

I sympathise - I am a couple of weeks behind you and this has started to happen to me again - I think it's called sciatica - I just use a normal pillow between my legs which helps but may take the advice of some of you good ladies on here and get a proper pillow!
I have a long body pillow for at night which helps a bit. Physio also said use as many pillows as you feel you nedd, at your back, to lean on, between your legs etc.
I read this online, worth baring in mind and getting a physio consult to be properly diagnosed -Pain at the back of the pelvis is known as pelvic girdle pain (PGP). It is sometimes also called sacro-iliac joint (SIJ) pain, because that is the name of the joint where problems arise. PGP is often misdiagnosed as sciatica. Only a few women, just one per cent, have sciatica during pregnancy. We now know that most lower back or leg pain in pregnancy is PGP (Ostgaard et al 1994).
Apparently your sciatic nerve is threaded through your pelvis, which is why it's most often the culprit. My back was so bad that it just kept spasming. Physio helped to relieve it, will be going back soon though as it's getting really painful again. Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -

Sounds good, but noway can we afford thatWe have to manage on OH's wage alone, plus no sort of maternity pay for me, so all money going on bills and baby stuff now. Shame! NHS for us I think.
If you're on low income you can get help from NCT towards paying for the classes. Maybe have a peek on their website and see if you're entitled to anything. If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -

Thanks for that Garnetlady - mine appears to be limited to just my hip (I got the same in each of my pregnancies but think it's come on earlier this time)
It disappeared again in my non pregnant state but I still sleep with a pillow between my legs (habit I think!)0 -
Have been looking at pushchairs today. I'm very scared of having it in the house before the birth as I can guarantee that OH will try to sit in it and probably break it. Yes, he is that immature.A-Z Challenge: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

:rotfl:It's supposed to be unlucky to have it in the house before baby's born (I'd never heard that before but read it on here)
I darent have mine at home either, DD would want to take one of her baby born's out in it0
