I know the feeling, forgot something on nearly every weekend shop so far, sometimes even when I had it written down!
Thank you. I got confused on whether to get a V, straight or even U shaped one!0 -

Welcome HoneypopI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Knew there was another post I quoted but it went missing...
After having DS by CS, we always made it clear to the HV, midwives and our GP that we intended to TTC when DS was around 12 months as I wondered if there was a certain time we should wait, and was never told to wait longer, it was never mentioned that there was a suggested timeframe - I wonder if the advice is another thing that depends on the trust so lots of people get differing advice?
Yes probably advice differs from area to area - also I am going back 8 years so advice may have changed now - I never intended to concieve my DD so soon - I was advised by the consultant that ideally should wait think it was 2 years to TTC no 2 - I assume to fully recover and make rupture of the womb less likely? - not sure
I elected for another CS with DD and the surgeon doing the section cut her head (not anything awful thank god - just a couple of steri strips worth of damage) - he did comment that the lining of my womb was paper thin apparently and I had made the correct choice having the section
I've no regrets personally but I know others who would have liked to have given birth naturally0 -

Hi Galvanizer - this is my 2nd baby and my oh's first - how do you talk about it - sometimes I feel as if Im being too "know it all" and I dont want him to feel left out - does this even make sense?:o
my oh is wonderful and v supportive - takes everything in his stride but im very concious to not be mentioning what ex was like at birth so its hard to say what i want and what i dont without saying - this wasnt helpful last time iykwim
Hello
Yes I do know what you mean about sounding know-it-all - I keep taking over a bit - OH wants to be involved with everything from choosing stuff for the baby (DD also keen to help) down to actually being there.
We have been together over 5 years now and he has seen the pics of DS and DD with my ex at birth - so think he is a bit desensitised in that respect but I do know what you mean - it is tricky sometimes.
With some aspects of my previous pregnancies and afterwards he is already aware of what my ex was like - contributed to some of the reasons for our divorce - I think he is being ultra careful not to make the same mistakes bless him - though he couldn't even if he tried
We are supposed to be going out pushchair shopping this weekend and I am going to make an effort to let him and DD take the lead - under my careful supervision of course0
