Well I finally got my GTT results back...... Perfectly normal fasting 4.7 and after glucose 5.2. Stupid frickin consultant, told her it was pointless and so just wasted another 2 hours of my life due to the NHS.
I'm going to refuse it this time. Last time I was "borderline" on the fasting result so was told to follow a "low" sugar diet and have a retest because it was "trust policy". When I pointed out that the low sugar diet would require me to increase my sugar intake they couldn't give me any other advice and then after the retest came back the same they told me to "continue" following the "low" sugar diet. I'm also sure my fasting result was only high because I ate as much food as I possibly could the evening before right up to 10pm in anticipation of not being allowed to eat for ages.

I found it useful to have lots of different compartments to organise things but there's no reason why you couldn't just use a regular bag.

Yes and most have a bottle warming compartment.

That's weird - does your sister have some objection to your house or something?

If IKEA was two minutes from us Alice would want to go every day. (Which with free hot chocolate would be quite tempting.)
She's just a bit odd really.. Turns her nose up to a lot of things... She used to come over all the time and I used to look after my neice every Saturday for 4 years... Then one day she decided she didn't want a cup of tea in my house because I had dogs and the hairs get everywhere... I haven't had dogs for 5 years but she still doesn't drink...

Ikea is very close but difficult to get to on public transport... I think we'll be frequent visitors once we have a car though!

Why do you think I declined mine?!

Think I've just about caught back up....

Off to try to get some sleep now as working in the morning, only one more week to do...... I must have been mad working til 38 weeks, but didn't fancy being at home too long.....

Oh RBG - Watched Holby last night (I missed last weeks) where's Joseph gone and did he take Jac with him????

    Night all, chat tomorrow xx

  • Thanks for the link to the changing bags ladies - spoilt for choice now. :)

Bellabear, does your bag have a long strap, so it can be worn across the body or can go across the pram, think it would be awkward trying to keep it on my shoulder while pushing the pram. Lovely pic too bellabear

Bad news vroomboom on the hip, on the plus side, bubs couldn't care less what his cot looks like so go for whatever you want. :)

Fairyshazza - where was your cheap moses basket from again - I really want to get one and a stand for no more than £30. Sorry to hear your feeling pants, hope the antis take effect soon.

MI3 - I hear you on the bladder front, i've been going rally frequently these past few days but not much coming out. Scan today shows bubs has his feet on my bladder so as soon as anything goes in, bubs is pushing it out.

Was walking round sainsbos before and I sneezed and a little trickled came out - first time ever - i was mortified and bought some extra pantyliners while i was in there, I really hope this isn't the start of things to come now.

Sorry for the delayed reply, having a bit of a poo day (i blame the very unhelpful doc :( )

Anyway! Just went and checked the bag, it does have a long strap and fits around my 29 week bump lol :)

yay for a long deserved sleep for you RBG!

    Congrats to twoflowerbeautiful name xxx

Joseph has gone to a GP surgery in the country and Jac didn't go with him :( lol....I have to watch last nights didn't get to see it so it is on V+ lol

It looks as though I have been online all night but actually sat and watched the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with hubby and am going to finish the book tonight if I can't sleep lol....lets hope for sleep as I have had a busy day :)

Went to the Asda up the road from me just to get a few bits and bobs and had a look at the baby event.....what a load of carp is all I can say :(

Anyways hubby has gone for a bath before bed so I am going to go and get myself sorted and comfy and hopefully will get over although don't really want to be asleep before he comes to bed as it will probably waken me again and then that's when the insomnia takes over......

Labour Vibes to those in need and bug hugs to everyone else....I know a few have had carppy day so lets hope tomorrow is a better one for everyone :)

I reckon I could sleep for England tonight if it weren't for this damn tooth!:mad:

OOh wierd thing happened tonight, sat on sofa and felt a horrible feeling round my belly button, next thing my ridiculously protruding navel went IN for about 3 minutes then came out again!!

OH said "he's yanking on it".........I didn't even bother to answer that :rotfl:

    Morning Ladies,
Congratulations to twoflower - Darcy is a wonderful name for your daughter and I'm sure her daddy would have been very proud.

Lilac - Vibes that perhaps this is it for you, know you've had a really rough time so far. (((hugs)))

Tried to get online with Mr Boots to no avail and went to the shops before heading home and to be honest, it was pretty rubbish. I was hoping to get some bits and pieces for sproglet but no. Should just have gone home to bed!!!

Poor little sprog doesn't know if I'm coming or going with me back no nightshift. Was quiet last night but manic today during the day which is a little bit of a pain when i am trying to sleep. That and tonight the main aim for movement from the little one is downwards onto my foof so feeling a little uncomfortable to say the least!!! lol

OH will take about 2 mins to throw a couple of things in a bag knowing him. He's not one for messing about. It's just me that will no doubt pack, unpack, alter what's in the bag, a few times then pack again!!! Hee Hee

Unsure how much we have spent on the little one so far but it's our first so there is everthing to get. OH sisters have given us a few bits and pieces and I think there will be contributions towards the pram (bugaboo bee +) and one of OH friends is insisting on buying the cotbed for us which is lovely.
I have kept a tally but need to update it and see where it sits at present.
I love MSE as I have gotten so many bargains towards things. Can't imagine why folks wouldn't shop about for the best deals!!! lol
That's all I can think of just now to write but will no doubt be back later tonight........
