I know lots of breastfeeding supporters aren't keen on recommending expressing but I'd totally recommend having bottles and a breastpump. From ten days I expressed and OH did a 10.30 pm feed of EBM and I'm sure without that small daily break from feeding in those early days I would have found breastfeeding much more difficult and may have given up.
Yep me too ,after a couple of weeks I started expressing and it meant I could get to bed and DH could give last feed, it was a godsend. I also used to express during the day and freeze it so DH could get up at the weekends during the night. He enjoyed it as he felt he was doing something too and he had that time at night on his own with DD."That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Oh yes, apparently I missed my booking appointment yesterday (they left a message on OH's mobile) so now I need to contact the practice manager to make sure I don't have a missed appointment on my records given that a) I did not make the appointment, b) when the MW phoned OH on his mobile two weeks ago, he told her I hadn't made it and to cancel it and c) they hadn't actually told me when it was. You'd think it was mandatory to have your booking appointment between 8-10 weeks.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Hi peeps,
Sorry, not read back, I'll do it later when DS in bed. I'm 38 weeks, and was told at my appt today that I'll have a date for c section nxt week if I not gone naturally by then. I woul much prefer to try a natural birth if poss. So I'm fishing of ways to induce labour naturally. I've read about them but just wondered who's tried things and did it work. I'm especially interested in the accupuncure/reflexology/homeopathy. And also the castor oil-I know its not recommended so I might safe that one til last.
I'm feeling very teary today too.:(

No midwife has ever poked a finger up *ahem* there... Although after the many stitches DD1 caused I did get a pain killer suppository... Felt like I'd been kicked up the behind for hours after...
:rotfl: I had a few stitches with ds1 and cant remember them going up that way either...... but then again at that point I think I had lost a grip on all reality lolI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

If IKEA was two minutes from us Alice would want to go every day. (Which with free hot chocolate would be quite tempting.)Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

((hugs))
in terms of natural inducing (is that even a word lol) I tried everything too ds was 2 weeks late yep i was term + 14 and what made him appear in the end? - Going to the hospital (I dont like them so i imagine I got really tense and started things off lol).
I had a membrane sweep the night before but I wasnt dilating - he wasnt even engaging lol so i took down my water pool (as i had home birth planned) and sulkily went to the hospital for inducing the next morning - when I got there my contractions came and I got to go home again :rotfl: so yeah maybe try to frighten yourself lol - although I imagine thats not well reccomended.
I had my water birth as planned although trying to put up the water pool whilst having contractions was a bit stressfull lolI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I have a Boots Parent Club change bag I'm not going to use which you could have if you wanted. It's against the rules for me to suggest giving me your address through MSE but I'm fairly easy to find in the non secret facebook group.
Thanks SusanC I may take you up on that offer, although I am hopeful Boots will see sense and send it out to me anyway, I have spent around £100 with them in the last cpl weeks so I will be annoyed if they dont! However I will search for you on facebook and let you know if they dontThank you!
