Morning Ladies
I think I have chicken pox  am waiting on a call back from the doctor but have 4 big red angry looking spots on my chest and as my friend has been diagnosed with shingles I thought it was best to give them a ring!
Im quite worried but I guess there is nothing really that I can do about it now
Hope everyone else is feeling ok x
Oh carp! - have you have Chicken pox before as a kid? x0 -
Morning, DH let me sleep in and i woke up at 10.
I feel ok now, dont know why i woke up feeling so sick.
I have dentist today, i didn't even know until they text me a few days ago. I have the worst memory.
We're washing all babys clothes, im saving up for a dryer so will do it once i have it.
Need to try and obtain a (very) cheap and large chest of draws for Lily and baby to share.0 -
Hugs to VB0

I got a cotbed pack from tesco http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.208-6764.aspx when it was reduced to £18.
For the moses basket I am using pillow cases for the 'fitted sheets' and I've since been given 2 moses/pram sized blankets. And mum bought a bargain pack in TKMaxx for £5 which had a moses basket size fitted sheet, flat sheet and cellular blanket.
This is the one I got. I got it with my Clubcard exchange vouchers. Haven't taken them out fully as would be a hassle putting them back, but seem very good quality and lovely and soft.
I need to get some moses basket sheets for my carrycot/pram, as he will sleep in there first.Morning Ladies

Oh carp, that is horrible! Hope they can clear it up quickly. Did you have the Pox as a child?
Sorry to hear your news VB
Regarding washing: I am going to wash everything for baby in non-bio. Preferably Fairy, am on the lookout for a box when its next on offer. We just use the cheaper non-branded non-bio for ourselves.0 -
galvanizer/digitalphase Yes I had them when I was 3 so when I rang doctor's earlier in the week to enquire they said although it's possible to get them more than once it's unlikely so I wasn't too bothered. The spots on my chest are not like normal spots - they look like chicken pox big bright red things and Im not generally a spotty person so am not feeling too hopeful. Although reading a little bit it says that at my stage of pregnancy only 1% of babies are affected by the chicken pox virus.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0

Morning All
Sorry to those suffering insomnia, I have it a bit but not quite as bad as some! I tend to wake up at 5 as thats when the alarm goes off for OH but he then snoozes it about 4 times so when eventually gets his @ss out of bed Im fully awake. Then I try and get back to sleep but DD comes in to me around 6.30 and we have to be up around 7 (although the last few days Ive been naughty and given DD my IPhone to watch Peppa Pig on while Ive snoozed til 7.30 then we have been late for dropping off at the childminder then work lol)
Ice - I had the free changing bag from Boots for DD which was good but couldnt really reuse it this time and Ive lost the voucher for a new so picked up the Little Angels Starter Bag from the ASDA Baby event. Its lovely, black bag with green lining, comes with a changing mat, pack of newborn nappies, some wipes and a mini shampoo, top to toe wash and baby lotion. And it was only a tenner, quite pleased with that.
Tickle - Good news about the GTT, had one with dd and its not nice, glad I have a more sensible midwife this time around who decided it wasnt really necessary.
MI3 - Did you have a nice date night? I love having those, we havent had one for ages but my mum is having dd for the weekend at end Jan so hoping we'll get one then! Did you howl at the moon? Has it worked?!? Lol, my midwife friend says its true that more babies are born on a full moon, weird isnt it, or perhaps just coincidence!
Hitchins - Sorry to hear about your tooth, hope you get it sorted soon, have you managed to get an appointment with the emergency dentist yet?
EA - Perhaps you have picked up a little sickness bug? Could be why you werent able to eat anything last night? Hope youre feeling better soon and that Lily is being a good girl for poorly mummy!
Sharkey - Good news about hubby coming home early! At least you'll be able to have some quality time before baby arrives if nothing else!
VB - So sorry to hear of your loss, it is a cruel disease. THinking of you xxx
Apricot - Oooh hope its not chicken pox!! Hope the doctor calls you back soon! It might not turn out to be the dreaded pox, pg hormones can cause all sorts of spots in weird places, I had a rather grumpy looking spot on my leg the other day, very random!!
Sorry I cant remember anyone elses news! But hugs to anyone that needs them!!
DD's old childminder had her baby early hours of this morning, 6lb 12oz home birth with no drugs, not even gas and air! And she is beautiful! Not long to go now yippee!!Sealed Pot Challenge Member 151
