VB sorry to hear of your news.

full moon didn't work for me. after 15 ish hours of pains they tailed off but have returned today. I got a little BP check today and its stable, cervix soft and anterior 1-2cms dilated but after 2 kids i might always of been a few cms anyway.

MI3 - labour vibes as requested. DD2 was an induction and I personally found it to be a positive experience they have said with my issues and history I will be induced this time before EDD.

Yep and dont forget you cant use tampons so its towels all the way although hopefully after a month it should have stopped or at least slowed down, should think you would be fine with normal pads
Ah that's OK. I rarely use tampons (due to vaginismus) anyway.

Help, how do I know if my waters have gone?! I just feel a trickle every now and again, small trickle maybe every 30 mins. I am damp down there but nothing more than that.

Cant say for sure as mine were broken by the midwife during labour but from what Ive heard, trickling can be the hind waters and anything substantial could be your actual waters. If you have a pad on then check the smell (gross I know), apparently waters smell like sperm.

And check the texture of it too to check its not discharge.

If in any doubt give your midwife/labour ward a call xxx

When mine went with DS, I knew!! It was like Niagra Falls, but some people only have a trickle, might be worth giving the labour unit a call?? Keep us in the loop!!!!

Can't remember who asked about cheap Fairy washing powder, but Asda had a box at a fiver yesterday, think its the 35 wash box???

Not for me! The only howling I was doing was in pain - I don't think I had more than an hour's sleep all night. I can't believe I have so much pain but none of it is labour related. Couldn't even sleep in as mw was coming to do my sweep this morning.

No luck there either, cervix is firmly closed. :( they're going to try again at the weekend. Also had my induction date booked in, please, please let something happen by then.
Mi3, you have no idea how I feel for you.
I am in the same boat, having all sorts of aches and pains but none labour related. It's making me realise how easy I've had it up to this week.
Due date is not until tomorrow for me so I shouldn't expect much to happen really :o. Can't help it though. I want it out NOW!!! :rotfl:
Sweep is planned for Wednesday. The week after that, the hospital is already booked to be induced.
Sending loads of labour wishing vibes your way :)

    Afternoon ladies

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss VB :(

    Ooh Icwus sounds exciting!

labour vibes to all who need them.

Not much to say today, still not received matb1 and I getting pretty peed off now. I have phoned again and left a message so hopefully someone will send one out. I know it's not their priority but it is part of the midwifes job and I can't hand in my ML until I get it  I am planning on leaving job #2 in about 7 weeks time so really need to get a move on with it. Did anyone else have problems getting theirs?

  • Lwcus 78 - can't believe you might be leapfrogging me when I am already a queue jumper :rotfl:

Apricot - try not to worry - am sure I have heard that it is only a problem if you have the chicken pox at the time of delivery.

Have been keeping bit of a low profile again - kind of struggling a wee bit with emotions and stuff - although I have been lurking. Hard to believe I am going to be a mother of 3 in 4 days time. I am really scared of having a section - which is probably irrational I know!

And another joyous event this morning - I threw up all over myself when I was driving  had really thought I was going to make it home in time after the school run - but no - still feeling a bit wiped out from it now too :(. That has never happened to me before :(.

At least from Monday there will be no more SPD and hopefully brushing my teeth will no longer be horrible!

Labour vibes to the ladies requiring them - and congrats to all the ladies who have delivered since I last posted.

Just a quickie delurk to tell you that your doc can issue them so just book an appt with him/her. Or depending what your doc is like phone the reception tell them you need a matb1 and they might get doc to sign it etc and leave it at the desk for you to pick up - thats what mine did as the due date will be on your notes - although they may ask you for it.

Anyway thought that might be quicker than waiting for slowwife to send it to you
    xx
