Phoned mw-she said to put new pad on and to call back in 2 hrs if wet so they can then send me down to hospital (an Hour away) to check if waters have gone or not. My best friend is a mw, she did offer to check me if any problems, maybe I'll give her a ring. Dont like the idea of her seeing my bits though.

    xx

My friends sil's waters started trickling last week. She went to hosp but they told her to go home. It happened with her last dd and they were slowly trickling for a couple of weeks before labour actually started, turns out that she was bone dry when delivering. That sounds awful doesn't it. Sorry.
I hope you have a better experience.
Fingers crossed for you and labour vibes to those wanting them.
    xx

Help, how do I know if my waters have gone?! I just feel a trickle every now and again, small trickle maybe every 30 mins. I am damp down there but nothing more than that.

It could be-thats what mine were like with both ds1 and ds2 but i distinctly remember kind of feeling a 'pop' as they went though!
With ds2 i felt them go and went to loo to check, then about 2 mins later had another trickle, and it was about 3 hours before i started getting any contractions.
could you ring your midwife for some advice?? or the labour ward?? I would keep checking the pad, as i went through them like nobody's business when mine had gone

Sorry, just realised that i've not actually been any help at all, but let us know how you get on and if this is IT then good luck!!

Ladies please ignore the following but I feel I need to have a moan

I am just feeling a bit sorry for myself but I don't know why. I have no interest in talking to anyone or playing my FB games or reading or anything like that. I am sitting here with all the baby stuff that we have bought in the corner of the living room and I have no motivation to actually go upstairs and make a restart on the spare room and i feel guilty for that :( hubby phoned me before lunch and realised the mood I was in so he decided to come home and make me lunch which mafe me feel even more worthless and crappy, as if I can't actually look after my hubby and make him lunch.

I know it's just my hormones but I can't help but feel this way today :(

((HUGS)) RGB. youve given me some great advice over the last few days. Dont know if you can use it to lift you out your fug (is that a word?)

Maybe a wee walk in the fresh air might help or put on your favourite tune?

You werent being worthless just because you didnt feel like making lunch. Your OH sounds wonderful and supportive and it sounds like he was happy to do it.

I know you dont fee like talking, but it did me the world of good the other day.

@lwcus78 - OMG - I hope things really do start moving soon if your waters have broke.

I did read in my book that the trickle of waters can be because the baby is plugging the exit, so if you're sat or standing when it happens it can be that. Whereas if they go and you're lying down it can be more of a gush.

@RBG - I've had a few days like that since being on leave. Today was nearly one, but I've turned it around by doing some boring paperwork but at least I feel like I've achieved something today. I don't suppose you play scrabble on facebook do you? I don't like playing with 'strangers' and so don't get to play much.

Ooooh the mention of scrabble had made me feel like playing it. I'm off to challenge some strangers as people my age tend to think scrabble is quite sad so my friends prefer to steer clear. I'm terrible at it anyway, so probably just as well I play with strangers!
