Please dont burn me at the stake but im not going to go down the BF route I dont think. I have always had very sensitive nipples and breasts , and that has been my main pain during pregnancy .I honestly could cut them off they hurt that much. The thought of a child sucking on it gives me the same feeling as someone running their nails down a chalk board. I KNOW its really good for my baby etc , so I may give it a try but just feel like if Im forced into doing something Im not happy with it could get me really down and could possibly lead to PND. I have spoken to MW about this and she hasnt really commented.
So I want to be prepared for bottle feedingThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

I think I am going to go for the Avent bottles, am hoping they will be included in the Asda baby event which starts on Monday but am pretty sure it is mostly the Tommee Tippee things that are reduced in that.
All the Avent stuff appears to be half price in my local Tesco store - checked online and it's still full price so may be worth a trip to your local store if you do decide to buy Avent.0 -
Thanks Girls - Will see how things progress and perhaps talk to the hospital if not sure. My DH is at work in central London but is on alert to come back if need be which could take an hour. Just really want my Mum to be here as well!!0

wow - thanks for the replies ladies. Your support is amazing.
Please don't anyone think that we have taken the decision to have a baby lightly. We do absolutely love each other but i do have to rely on him for money. I would love to share all our money and bills but I'm the more useless one who runs up unneccessary debt and I have to take account for that.
RBG - if you could dig out that baby cost link that would be fab as I honeslt have no idea.
GB - when we discussed money before TTC we agreed that OH earnt enough money to accomodate the change of lifestyle, but alas we never sat down and worked out specific budgets.
LL - I hope my OH can come around and be as reasonable as you. I do want to take account for my debt but paying that off while on mat leave means i prob cannot afford everything else.
GL - thanks for the words of encouragement. Yes sometime I would love him to be slapped into place. I need to take the softly softly approach with him though as otherwise it does flare our tempers
Annibee - I am so anal when it comes to meny. I have everything worked out to the penny whereas he earns so much that he can afford to be more frivilous.
How have you worked out exactly how much you'll be getting? I have done my exact sums but I still don't know how much that means I'll be getting after tax.
I'm NHS so do get a good deal but I struggle to make ends meet now on full pay.
Anyway, i have written the letter - should i post it here for comments?0 -

Oh it's definately not for everyone, but if I was you I'd give it a go for a day or even up to a week. If it's as bad as you thought then stop at least you'll have given it a go and can't have any regrets, and the baby will have had the colostrum which is the most important with all the antibodies etc.
If you were to start from day 1 on a bottle then after a couple of weeks for some reason wished you had BF it's unlikely you'd be able to as you'd have no supply.
Hope this doesn't come across as pressurising because it's not meant to be, my aim was balanced advice.AKA: PC

I think your right - def on the taller TT ones0 -
Thanks Galvanizersbaby - this is my first pregnancy and my scan is next Weds, so perhaps that explains things. From what you, Fairshazza and others have said looks like I might be 8 weeks away from showing yet so I will try not to worry! Tomorrow have booking in app in the afternoon so hopefully blood etc will all go well and we can get some answers/reassurances.
Apricot thanks, I think I am just having one of those days... but speaking to you all here has helped massively as this morning I was much more anxious. 'Chunk' what a nickname - hopefully you have one for OH too ha ha...
Alfalfa I have had some back pain but nothing like what you're having yet - hope you are feeling better - have you tried tiger balm and maybe a hot water bottle? Hope it feels better soon.
LabLover luckily my cat is not keeping me awake, of late he's been sleepign near OH side - I am convinced he can sense different hormones as in early pregnancy (oestrogen) he wouldn't leave me alone and now in 2nd trimester (maybe with progesterone) he's staying away! Glad you got a better night's sleep.
BargainPrincess have you spoken to a doctor or midwife to see what they recommend? It seems sometimes it can take days - so frustrating esp if your mum lievs so far away. Good luck and keep us posted - so excited for you! I hope LV is alright too x
Dusty congrats on 29 weeks and so sorry to hear about your argument with OH, it's important that you do talk about it but wow, so hard to bring it up and clear the air. Maybe he just needs some time to think? Sounds like more team work is needed but he's wary because of your debt. I guess any spare cash you do have right now pop in a tin and at least you'll start to have something? Hope he's able to come round as £200 would reassure you and I'm sure then the atmosphere would lighten up. Thing is, you will need to talk cash more and more especialy as you get closer to maternity leave, and you don't need to be stressed about money right now, hope things get cleared up for you. Sorry to hear work is rubbish right now but I agree with others - use the union!:):)

No it is good advice Princess Coupon , I had thought of trying it for a couple of days to give baby colostrum , which I know is super important ,but thought the hospital would bully me into keeping on going for longer. I do know I need to put my feelings aside for the baby , but it is a big deal and plenty of people do bottle feed. Guess I will need to wait untill baby arrives and just go with the flow. Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Ooooh thanks for this - I did look online but nothing was reduced but I will pop into the store tonight and have a look. We are going to Mothercare and it is in the same place as Tescos so may as well just nip in to see what they have.
I have some Clubcard vouchers that I could use if I decided too as well so that might help although was wondering if I should save for the next double up event. One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
Not feeling great today. Hubby is worried my bump isn't very big for 13 weeks and so am I, although clothes are tight that's it. I have seen pics of other ladies bumps that are so big by now and am definitely feeling I need reassurance but the scan won't be until next Weds. So I have so many days yet to be worried. I just want some sign from tummy, especially as I have had barely any morning sickness which although would be horrible would make me feel more normal.
Sparkle, this is me at 22 weeks this time - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=36912766&postcount=3777
And I am huge compared with my first pregnancy - the first time I was nearly 30 weeks before there was a bump that anyone could really see. And my boy was quite a big baby at 9lb4oz, so bump size really doesn't mean very much at all.
And I had virtually no sickness with either, that's a good thing, don't worry!0
