Hi SA, sorry to hear your news. I'm in a similar situation as you, having dopplers 3X a week due to resistance in the blood flow. I found out last week but didn't want to say as I thought it would make you worry especially as you thought bump hadn't got bigger. I'm 37 weeks (but my dates will be 37 days on Fri). I know you've also been here before. All I can say is, that its good they keeping regular checks. My DS1 was IUGR with blood flow absent on doppler 32 weeks. An extra 5 weeks makes such a difference in a baby's development. What weight have they estimated for you. Remember, they are also only so accurate. They told me my DS would be less than 3lbs but he was actually 4lbs 1oz. They've advised me to bed rest as much as poss and to lie down on left hand side to try get more blood flowing through placenta.
Anyway, hope all goes well for you and your little boy.
They've already been monitoring me a week and I'm still here.
Hugs and will be watching out for updates xxx

Did you deliver your placenta in the pool? Or did you get out and have the injection? I'm still undecided about what to do and at the moment am going to wait and see what I want to do when the time comes. In the waterbirthing video we watched at the waterbirth class the lady delivered the placenta in the pool.

Our hospital allows us in the pool at 3 - 4cm. This seems to be unusual as everywhere I have read has said 5cm. I thought the reasoning behind the 5cm was to reduce the risk of being slowed down. So I'm a little concerned about the 3-4cm.

Hello - I found water birth fine I was even on the phone whilst in labour :rotfl:

I had to get out as I was "too relaxed" after a couple of hours plus my waters hadnt broke so I got out and walked around for a bit then my waters broke and I got back in.

I did tear but i didnt notice i was well surprised when they told me I had tore.

Obviously labour is uncomfortable and painful but I felt the water allowed me to move around and get into better positions. Gas and air only helps to a point.

Delivering was nice babys head came out and I waited a little before delivering could feel him wriggling (which I found to be so bloomin weird) midwifes were asking if I wanted to look and showing me a mirror but to be honest I just wanted him out lol. Then out came shoulders and they swum him out he was fine then I got out to deliver placenta whilst baby was popped onto my breast it was lovely. Im hoping this time will be just as nice

*Sorry to everyone with my long labour tale*

My labour was probably long compared to some but he was ok and they checked heartbeat regulary (he still remains one of the most laid back children ever lol)

I dont know how they work in hosp's I had mine at home and so I was in control I got out some times (to make a drink or go toilet)
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Apricot - I'm only at 14 weeks today and I've already bought a couple of bits and bobs but that's just because I don't like the idea of having to spend a lot of money at the end so I'd rather space out buys as it'll be easier for me and my OH to manage that way. So far I've bought a few sleepsuits, a little disney dungaree outfit that I couldn't resist in the sales and an Avent bottle set, as it was half price. My cousin also bought me a packet of 7 sleepsuits, a packet of 2 sleepsuits, a cuddle robe and a bathing mitt. I'm going to hold off now until my scan at 21 weeks as i'm hoping to find out the gender before making more purchases.

I would hazard a guess that he has aspergers or something similar. I did feel for him when she said she wanted her mum with her not him for the section.
