On water births, I want a water birth and I want to do this as naturally as possible (I know what you want and what actually happens are totally different lol)
not at all if you want something theres no reason why you cant have it - everyone was all skeptical about me having my home/water birth and I was 2 weeks late!!! I went to the hospital to be induced and told them I was not having my baby there - luckily baby felt same way and decided to come so when they came to check and prep me I was told I was now in active labour they said id have to stay in hosp now that id startedI told them goodbye and went home. Got my three fave midwifes and had exactly the birth I wanted........well apart from wanting it to be painless lol
Its your birth you have what you want - obviously if its a safety issue then listen to the proffesionals but if its a convenience issue for them it shouldnt stop you I mean if you get in the pool they cant exactly drag you out can theyI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Just can't believe I've got another baby with IUGR again after all being good til now. On the upside I'm full term on Saturday.
Labour vibes to those who need them and hugs to all ladies and bumps. I'm off for a nap now as I feel drained xx
Mine is 5th centile and I'm still on 2/3 weekly scans! maybe it's because you're further along than me, please keep me up to date Sarah and don't worry too much DD was born below the 1st centile and was okayAKA: PC

Hi SA, sorry to hear your news. I'm in a similar situation as you, having dopplers 3X a week due to resistance in the blood flow. I found out last week but didn't want to say as I thought it would make you worry especially as you thought bump hadn't got bigger. I'm 37 weeks (but my dates will be 37 days on Fri). I know you've also been here before. All I can say is, that its good they keeping regular checks. My DS1 was IUGR with blood flow absent on doppler 32 weeks. An extra 5 weeks makes such a difference in a baby's development. What weight have they estimated for you. Remember, they are also only so accurate. They told me my DS would be less than 3lbs but he was actually 4lbs 1oz. They've advised me to bed rest as much as poss and to lie down on left hand side to try get more blood flowing through placenta.
Anyway, hope all goes well for you and your little boy.
They've already been monitoring me a week and I'm still here.
Hugs and will be watching out for updates xxx
I've been wondering how you've been getting on, been thinking about you quite a lot since you had your appointment. Sounds like we are going through the same thing - again.
I'm a lot better now I've gotten my head round it. It was just a shock really as the sonographer said everything looked good. Bubs was trying to eat his own feet then drinking the fluid which gave him hiccups. The sonographer struggled to get measurements as his belly is tucked away and his head his fully engaged now. Well that explains all the pain I was in yesterday. He also has a full head of hair!!
The estimate of his weight is 5lb 11oz plus or minus 13oz which makes him the bottom of my growth chart, he has been measuring on the 15th centile since the beginning so even this slight slow down has made them worried as I don't have much leaway but it could be way out as she struggled so much with getting him measured! Sounds like he'll be about the same weight as DD was when she was born.
Anyway, it seems that they are being cautious with my past history which is exactly why I go there for. I think I was shocked because I thought they would just give me a date for my induction and that would of been that but now I have to prepare everytime I go that it could happen anytime if the blood flow slows but I am in the best possible hands. Just a bit of a pain travelling so far every other day but at least it's not forever!
So I REALLY must write my birth plan now!!
Thanks for all your good wishes, it means a lot especially when I'm on my own whilst OH is at work.Virtual Sealed Pot 2013 #41 - £69.27OJ born 25/01/110
