  • Hiya Lady bumps :)

I slept for 3 hours this afternoon :S really didn't mean too.....was awake at 5pm and thought right have to get up for hubby coming home and next thing I know he's snuggling in behind me whispering it was 6pm did I want to sleep on.......of course I wanted to sleep on but I decided to get up and have something to eat and I'll go for a bath later and get myself settled again then go up and put on my relaxation tape again (I found it this afternoon and decided to give it a try and was out for the count in 10 minutes :))

On water births, I want a water birth and I want to do this as naturally as possible (I know what you want and what actually happens are totally different lol) my friends have been calling me the earth mother as I am going for natural this and that where I can but tbh I always did say that if I ever got PG this was what I wanted.....hadn't said anything in the past few years as I had just accepted there would be no mini me lol

Sarah it sounds like you could do with a hug so am sending a virtual one your way.

MV my insomniac buddy, lol I hope you are going to be getting mummy cuddles soon :) I will certainly be about tonight if I can't sleep

Welcome to the newbies in the thread :)

my back is quite sore today again and am not sure if that's because of the mile I walked earlier on my way home from work or just the way bubs is lying lol by the end of the walk I felt as though everything was just going to 'drop out the bottom' (sorry if that is TMI lol)

Ok going to go and have some fish and salad, oh yes weighed myself earlier after checking my notes and seeing I was 11 st 3lb (quite scary as I am only 4ft 11 lb :S ) I have gone up to 12st 4lb so just over a stone for me and I am 33 weeks on Friday so hopefully after the birth I can start to loose weight properly....I had actually lost about 2 stone before I pg so if I can get down some more I will be happy....my ideal weight for me is 9st 7lb coz if i go any lighter I look daft

Right hubby calling me for dinner catch you all later

    RBG

  • hello ladies. Hope you are all ok tonight? I am exhausted, went into work today for a couple of hours and it done me the world of good to get out and speak to someone other than myself.lol. Went for a power nap for 4 hours.lol. must have needed the sleep but now feel even tireder and kinda yukky like I did in the first 12 weeks. Hopefully I just need a good nights sleep. xx

Hi all thanks for the welcome ;o)

Galvanizer I am the same height as you and around same weight - worried about how I will be a round puffball as I get more pregnant ha ha... also worried about what kind of pram to get that is manageable to get on a bus!

Trying to still eat reasonably well, cereal and fruit for breakfast with yoghurt, sandwich or soup for lunch, some nuts/fruit as snacks...

    evening

    Hope you're all well??

    No news from Lilian yet??

MV - Sending more labour vibes your way.....

Sarah - sorry to hear your news, but they're doing something (((hugs)))

Still a bit down about the woman at works grandaughter, but as OH says we dont know them anyway, so makes no difference really, just can't shake it off.....

Finally printed off what should be in my hospital bag, so gonna check it all off later, at 36 weeks today, think i've left it late, but hoping she will han in until next weds, then I can stay home and have my home birth..... I've told OH we're leaving the ironing to mount up now, so i've something to do in the early stages of labour, plus it keeps me moving about....

Had my flu jag tonight, feel ok and little lady is still moving about, so gonna have a light snack tonight....

Does anyone know where I could get a nice snowsuit? the only ones i've seen are the animal print ones at Mothercare, which are gorgeous, but wanted a quilted effect one if possible....

I've had the same midwife all the way through, just saw a different one once when mine was held up in a meeting, i'm really hoping its my midwife I get whenI go into labour.....

I've got the Boots change bag too, and the one that matches my pram... was looking at getting a nice one, then decided not to bother, the two i've got will do (I bought myself a new Radley bag instead!!!)

  • I'm the same krystal. When I walk anywhere now it's a huge effort and I really ache afterwards.

I know I should be trying to keep fairly active as it may help bring on labour, but I feel exhausted most of the time and walking about in this cr a ppy weather just isn't appealing!

I know - its easy for me to say! I can't walk far at all either without being in agony - started with SPD/PGP on christmas eve and feel like I shuffle everywhere - was watching people stride out today and was jealous :o

Afternoon all - sorry haven't read back properly but just back from my growth scan and bubs is not growing as he should and is below the 10 centile so I've got to have doppler scans every other day starting Friday. Just can't believe I've got another baby with IUGR again after all being good til now. On the upside I'm full term on Saturday.

Hugs from me too Sarah - are they likely to start you off anytime soon if you are 37 weeks? I am at the opposite end of the scale and my baby is on the 95th centile  which is a large reason for my elective section! At least they are aware now and monitoring you plenty.

Hormones - aaarrrgghhh - can not wait till this time next year when hopefully mine will all be back to some sort of normality - all this crying is rubbish! DD1 never wants babies cause they make you so sad - LOL :T

    Good evening ladies,

Thank you for the well wishes :) I went into work and just been dosing up on hot honey and lemon and paracetamol. I feel so tired now so prob an early night for me.

Also, worked out I have 12 working days left. That means only early starts, 12 commutes and 12 getting back ache sat on my bum all day :j:j:j

    I'm 30 weeks today

I cannot believe how quickly it's going. GFH - you're 30 weeks tomorrow. Can you believe it?! Remember when we got our BFPs - ahhhhhh. Those were the days lol.

I had my MW appt yesterday and everything seems to be going well. She had my blood results back and all is looking good. Apparently my iron levels are fabulous, esp considering I don't eat meat. So touch wood the next 10 weeks will go ok!

RE: Weight. I have never been weighed by the MW. I was asked my weight at the booking in but that was it. I know I've put on loads - so I daren't weigh myself anymore. Def got loads more cellulite but no stretchmarks, touch wood ;)

Coops - Nice to "see" you, but sorry you're back on night duty - that must suck :(

MV - I reckon thats you show making a show :D Have you had any more trickles yet? Hope things are moving for you.

Fanta - Sorry to hear about your back. That sounds really painful - I would def speak to your MW sooner rather than later and see if you can get a physio referral or something. Tbh, I can't see it getting better otherwise the further along you get.

Sorry, baby brain took everything else from me, and I haven't got the energy for a mammoth post :o

I hope all ladies and bumps are doing well - and here's to a better night's kip for us all

Finally managed to get internet at home up and running.OH not best pleased because Ive messed up nice empty hall with router and cables. It said on box that the microfilter for it had to go straight into the socket and to plug the phone into microfilter , but I need 2 holes one for phone and one for sky?!?! So untill I figure out how to do this it will have to stay in the hall. Was asking my OH about changing bags 2nite and he said the opposite to what I thought he would. He wants something with little animals or stuff on so that people can clearly see its a changing bag , he doesnt want us to get a discreet black one incase people think he is carrying a "manbag! LOL ! Dont know where he gets theses thoughts from ?
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Lablover I just unplugged my sky from the phoneline. Didn't make a difference - you only need it plugged in if you want to use the interactive stuff, you can still watch things on demand and record without phoneline being plugged in.

I love the idea of a waterbirth - I know I've got ages but it's never too early to think about these things is it? My hospital has recently built a new maternity unit and there are 4 pools that can be used (provided you are only midwife led)

When did you all start buying things? I am still apprehensive about getting things at the moment but I've seen that the Asda baby event is coming up and I don't want to miss out on bargains!
