Hello Laides. Well I am back to feeling awful today. I slept for 12 hours last night (sorry) got up at 9am and was up for a couple of hours before I was absaloutley (sp) exhausted again, just had a 2 hour nap and really feel awful now. Going to call my midwife in the morning because I really dont think this is right, I cant be so tired when I have done nothing at all. Having a really crappy day.
Welcome pipersky and labour vibes to MV.

Yeah it's worth phoning her, it's funny the girl I work with was saying today that her hubby is exactly the same, he had really bad flu symptoms before Xmas, within a few days he was ok, but he has got them again. Seems to be a very odd thing that's going round.

I have decided to get the flu jab, will phone tomorrow to get an appt. I am not keen on any sort of vaccines but.........

  • Sorry PC :o lol

Right I'm fed and watered and feeling shattered again so think I might go have a lie down again, and I have done nothing today either.....hubby is out on shift tonight so will be able to get a few hours sleep again later when he is out and have the bed to myself so I can sprawl out but will probably be awake again in the early hours....it seems if he cuddles in at all I overheat and that is why I am awake to start with :S I'm so thankful I start my maternity leave in just over a week :)

BTW we didn't find out I was preggers until I was about 9 weeks gone so due to me being off work on long term sick up until a couple of months before I found out I had to tell them straight away especially as I then had morning sickness from about 12 weeks :S

Grateful what a nasty dream :(

It probably means I'm going to win the lottery, or I should eat more jammy dodgers or something.

They never mean the obvious thing. (she hopes:eek:)

Wishful thinking LOL. Mine tend to me of a more ahem sexual nature and I keep having dreams about one of our friends :o:o (male obviously!!)

Ecoelle - I didn't tell many people until after the scan. Did have to tell my line manager though as I was in hospital, and then taking regular days off work with MS. I also needed to make sure I wasn't going to be sent on too many site visits.

    Can I just :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: please?

Less than a month. How did that happen?????

I'm still very much in denial about it all. Bag not yet packed, no boys names, still decorating the front bedroom so we'll have space for baby to sleep somewhere apart from the porch, house is a mess, not got a list of people to call sorted etc etc etc

Had first ante-natal class yesterday (last one is 3 days before EDD). I'm the first due to pop by over 2 weeks, the last is due nealy 2 months after me. It was really good though, as it helped to reassure me that my body IS designed to get this baby out. It also panicked me as it made me realise that this baby is coming out of me....and soon.

She was discussing signs that our bodies are getting ready for labour, and things we need to look for on our notes. One of them being that the baby is cephlic and whether it's engaged or not. ermmmm.....yes and 1/5. Also been having regular BH.

Right, need to calm down a little. Off to make biscuits (crumbs, am I nesting now too??)

Sorry to those of you feeling cra*py... I know exactly how you feel and quite relieved it seems to be 'normal' in pregnancy to be shattered after not doing much. I spent most of yesterday sleeping, and frustrated as have lots to do but no energy to do it. Been very tearful too and doubting my capabilities as a mum... Which I know is daft... I just hope it's all down to hormones!!! Feeling bit better about things now and things are getting done... Just very slowly!
So my sympathy is with all you ladies feeling exhausted!

Sorry for the moan, but I do feel better for it :)

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

  • Hi all. Im 14 weeks tomorrow. Cant believe it!
I have had such bad sickness since about 5 weeks. However I have had 3 days now where I havent had to hug the toilet! I have been feeling sick on a morning but just try to occupy my mind and have some toast and it has helped. Lucozade seems to help too but not wanting to have too much of it.
I have found myself looking at cots and such but think it is too early to be buying things like that. I have been given a bag of clothes from a friend of my Uncle who has a little boy. Most of it is white and some would be ok for a boy or girl. I am very grateful for them anyway :)
People keep saying Im having a boy but we will see. I was calling baby he yesterday too and had to stop myself lol. Im actually hoping for a girl but if it is a boy then I will love it all the same just minus the dresses lol.

:rotfl::rotfl:yep it's gonna happen one way or another :D My  moment with DD was when I was at ante natal class too, we were doing the hospital tour and we heard a lady in labour. Seriously I turned to DH and said (quietly, didn't want everyone else to know I was a big woose!) "I can't do this, I need to get out of here" He calmed me down but I realised it was going to happen for definate then!

Annibee good luck for the car!

Janine, glad you feel better for it, it's good to get it out isn't it!
