Hi all,
Could i be added to the list please? Im due 12th May 2011, and dont know the sex of the baby, we chose not to find out at the 20week scan, we both agreed we wanted a suprise!
I was posting on the less then 12 weeks pregnant board but havent had chance to post on here but do regularly read it!!
Pregnancy going well, have MW on Tues, have to be rescanned at 36 weeks as i have a low lying placenta, just wandered if anyone else has had this? The sonographer said that 90% of the time it will move, but if it doesnt it means ill have to have a C-Section and i dont want that!!MSE has changed me for the better!!DD1 arrived 15/5/11, ]:money:0 -
Anyone on here used a baby sling? instead of or as well as a buggy, and are they any good? I quite like the idea of being close to the baby when out and about, and also of being able to strap the baby into the sling and carry on with the household stuff when hubby isn't here to watch baby.0

i tried a sling with my eldest, yes handy and comfy nice to be hands free but tbh i hated it. i worried so much that if i fell i'd crush my dd that i just didn't use it. and i've not used one since for any of my other babies and don't plan to .
i never had need to use it round house while doing jobs. all mine have been content being in bouncy chair, laying on floor, moses basket etc. if they needed attention job can wait while i spend time with my little one.0 -
Ecoelle I had a Freedom sling, from an eBay shop. I love it and will be digging out again. Good for going walks through woods or busy places. And would bd good this time of year as no way I could get the buggy through the snow.
I got a Fisher price rainforest swing today off a girl on Freegle. So chuffed as they are £122 in Argos and this was free

She also gave me 2 bin bags of neutral and boy clothes.
All I have to buy now is sheets and muslins.
Im a lot more organised than I first thought.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
I bought the Baby K sling based on a woman at work who had a bubs using it loads, including when baby was older she'd strap her to her back and carry on washing up etc.
Not looking fwd to going back to work tomorrow but once I'm there I'll feel better....well relieved. Think it's time for a powersnooze.
Welcome RachelC. You have my original due date til the dating scan. Exciting times0 -

Well baby MV is making up for his slightly quiet patch last night! Lots of squirming about.
I've been having my perfect Sunday: Got up late, had breakfast, went for walk, went for coffee and cake, came home and went for lie down, OH has made a start on dinner (roast chicken, roasties, parsnips, brocolli, gravy- YUM), and I am reclined on the sofa watching Come Dine With Me...perfecto!
So its EDD for me tomorrow...wonder when bubs is going to make an appearance..
Hope he doesn't try and start making an appearance this evening..it'd be such a waste of a good roast dinner!:rotfl:
Oh and regarding the EDD list, I simply cannot believe that I am almost top..I was somewhere like 6th from the bottom for so long!!! :eek:Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
No sorry Sharkeybaby...mine are fine but PG women can get carpel tunnel syndrome doing repetitive things so maybe it's that. All I get is the most active baby in the world it seems. I can't believe I wait forever for it to kick on demand and then when I'm tinkering it's kicking like a cancan dancer - constantly! Feels like a churning tummy but I suppose s/he is moving whilst it still has room to.0

MV - I simply cant believe that your due date is tomorrow. I remember first discovering my pregnancy and we were both on the less than thread, doesnt seem that long ago and now you are ready to be a mum, which means I dont have much longer either. I am wishing you all the very best with everything. Hoping that you can at least enjoy your roast first
I really miss that with DH being away - he aways made a big fuss of me on a Sunday. I havent made a roast since he went away, but he's back in 4 weeks time so hopefuly that will start up again
