Vroombroom,
We got that changing table from Ikea and the Guliver cot. They are loads of lovely pieces of furniture at M&P and mothercare but we reckon that our money could be better spent - we have only so much to go round.
The Ikea stuff looks good and we're happy with our purchase. We'll have to wait a wee bit longer to see if the baby is happy with the purchases:p0 -
Sammy - been feeling baby move a while now, is lovely! She has certainly got more lively last few days although maybe its because i have spent more time sitting down/relaxing.
I have a list on excel of things, no idea if is correct etc but is what I am going to get and based it on list in emmas diary plus any other things i have thought of.
Vroombroom -on another forum i go on they have been saying you only have to be in your 25th week not 25 weeks in which case we would quailfy, not holding out hope though!0 -
I like them Vroom and Ikea is a good make so you cant go far wrong with them. Starting the new year in a good way cooking baby sharkeybabe no2:j:j0

Yes if you're 25 weeks before 31/12/10 think it finishes after that....Challenges - repay all credit cards by end of 2015Starting the savings for retirement :rotfl:

Sorry - I forgot that it was due to get stopped. Hopefully your midwife will be able to sort that out for you - seems really unfair system. Starting the new year in a good way cooking baby sharkeybabe no2:j:j0

@Dusty - been to M&Ps. I asked about the warranty and despite being told last time that it would start from the pick up date, she's told me today that it's the EDD and she's put it in the computer for then. So I'm beginning to think that noone really knows and they make it up as they go along.
So we have our pushchair, car seat base and car seatVery happy with it...tested it all out and everything seems OK.
The only thing I'm concerned with is we were sold it as "suitable from birth as it lies flat". But the booklet says nothing about thisNot sure what to do now. I don't mind getting the carry cot - but I got the moses basket because we _didn't_ get the carry cot. I've been looking at reviews and other people have used it from birth and I'm 90% sure it said on the website (but doesn't now). Am going to check the catalogue next.

thanks everyone I'm just being a narky !!!!! today. I love some of the mothercare/m&p stuff but i need to realistic as we don't have £100s to shell out on stuff.
I guess a baby won't know we only spent £34 on his cot! Plus it did look nice in Ikea last night x
Wendz, I'll let you know what my MW says - sure they can alter the date by a few days!:j:jOur gorgeous baby boy born 2nd May 2011 - 12 days overdue!!:j:j0 -
Nothing wrong with a £34 cot if it does the job. I couldn't tell you what my cot was like when I was a baby?? So i am sure they wouldn't have a clue!
I am seeing doctor tomorrow for 24 week appointment and says on my sheet about appointments that HIPG is done at 28 week appointment with midwife so i will ask then I think if she doesn't mention it.0
