MV, I seem to be stalking you again, but not in a nice way, I also went today to pick up a prescription for another UTI. I'm kind of hoping that it's this that has caused my on-off back pain as on top of the SPD its really debilitating and I can barely get around the house, let alone out. A quiet NYE for us me thinks.

Ignoring my EDD and going by my own (or rather CBFM dates) I think I will have the baby on 19th Jan which is coincidentally a full moon and apparently there's an upsurge of labours around full moons.

Ouch poor you :( Hope your UTI clears up soon, it's really nasty. I could hardly walk the other evening.

The anti-B's seem to be working though, and I'm guzzling cranberry juice so fingers crossed.

We could end up having our babies very close together in reality!

The way mine is rumaging about this evening, I swear he's looking for the escape hatch!!:rotfl:

  • Vroom - this is the set that I like http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3772854/Trail/searchtext%3EPRAGUE.htm
I figured that I could use my HIP grant and scrape the rest together, but I am still not 100% sure.

Teenie - Hi honey how are you? I couldn't tell you what Braxton Hicks are if I wanted to so no help really - sorry. I get tightenings round my tummy sometimes when I'm on the loo but I think its from stretching too far to wipe :o:rotfl: TMI - sorry

PMSL :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:or straining too hard :p:p:D

They aren't painful just really uncomfortable, just didn't expect them so "strong" so early on!! Saying that I probably had them with DD but didn't know what it was!

Aw that's a shame your DH knows about his surprise :( What a dafty his friend is, it will still be a lovely day though no doubt!
As for him not being keen about the baby carrier.......I thought he looked a bit too comfortable wearing it :D Still if he continues sticking cuddly toys in it he will soon get used to it :rotfl:

    This is funny....:rotfl:

I've felt a bit down and out of sorts today.... This pain in my back been about all day and its really got me down.... But 34 weeks today, so not long now.....

I'm waiting for my order from Babies r Us, but only the mattress has been dispatched so far.... Spent some money online at the sales today, bought bubs some bits from M & S and a electric breast pump from Boots for £26 :j Didn't want to buy one until I know whether I can bf, but I thought for that price its worth it.....

Nursery Furniture - I really dont know what to do, bubs will only have a small room to start with, as I want her room near ours (mainly so i dont have to walk too far!!) and I have one of those wardrobes from Argos that DS has never used (you know those malibu ones, with either blue or pink fronts) hubby going to take the doors off and spray them pink, but not sure whether to buy her her own wardrobe to match the cotbed we just bought..... Decisions decisions.....

Nothing on tv tonight, so gonna cuddle up on sofa with hubby and make a start on the birth plan eeeekkkkkkk

    Hope you're all well.....

Sharkey & voombroom, I made the same mistake of looking at the mothercare / mamas and papas furniture first, then the ikea stuff didn't compare. I do like the set you're looking at sharkey, seems like a lot for the money.

We were lucky as in-laws bought our cot bed & mattress, so we've just paid for the matching drawers, think we spent 400 between us in total. I was looking at second hand sets on eBay and they tend to go for really good prices, I'd have gone for that option if we'd not been bought the bed! First in a long list of spending on baby!!
  • Thanks Vroom and Ema - I think my mistake has been shopping around instead of just sticking to my first instinct.
Vroom - is every pregnant mother entitled to the HIP grant?

We got it for DD, it's still going strong, albeit the drawers have had to be No More Nailed (bottoms falling out).....but I blame OH for that :rotfl:
