Hi all, have had a crappy day :-( so woe is me and all that

I have put my maternity leave in from 18th march, they rejected and said it has to be 25 march. Eh? I thought I chose? Idiots. So I have emailed my manager to say I am leaving on the 18th.

I've changed doctors as well and have been trying to get an appointment - apparently I am not registered with them:mad: how have I managed to get an appointment with the new midwife then? going in to see them tomorrow to see the practice nurse, then I can see the doctor.

And all the stuff I want to order off Babies r Us is still out of stock. My little un is coming in 15 weeks and he has a moses basket and nothing else:(

Enjoy your ML Giz! Goodness me where is the time going

Vroom sorry you are having such a carpy day:( I'm not sure why your employer would reject your chosen date, seems a bit odd to me.

Don't worry about having nothing yet for bubs, you will get there and they don't need everything straight away. Deeps breaths, a cup of tea, some choc and reelllaaaxxxx ;) It's horrible that everything seems to be happening to you at once and pregnancy hormones don't help but you will be just fine xxx

MV, I seem to be stalking you again, but not in a nice way, I also went today to pick up a prescription for another UTI. I'm kind of hoping that it's this that has caused my on-off back pain as on top of the SPD its really debilitating and I can barely get around the house, let alone out. A quiet NYE for us me thinks.

Ignoring my EDD and going by my own (or rather CBFM dates) I think I will have the baby on 19th Jan which is coincidentally a full moon and apparently there's an upsurge of labours around full moons.

Vroom, as long as your 29weeks on or before 18th March then you can leave then. Speak to CAB maybe? They are good with work and pregnancy related things :) x

  • Teenie, I have been getting them on and off for about 6 weeks now - they are quite uncomfortable but not really painful, but I suppose everyone has a different pain threshold. :)

Well ladies I finally got my HIP form today better late than ever, I am 33 weeks yesterday. Sometimes I wonder if my MW walks about with her head up her ar*e if you know what I mean, I have never met a bunch of people so disorganised that are supposed to helping expectant mothers!! thats my little rant over. Today I went through all the things i have bought/given to for the baby and was quite shocked to see how much I actually have for her, so I have decided to stop fretting about things and buy anything else that I need once the baby gets here. I am still really undecided with the baby's nursery furniture and I really need to get my bum in gear and decide what to buy, really confused because some of the sets I really like but are so expensive, I just cannot really justify buying them. I have seen a nice set in Argos, but I am worried that it will look cheap compared to the sets I have seen in mothercare etc.

    decisions, decisions.

Aw vroom you aren't being a drama queen at all, just a very anxious Mummy to be who wants the best start for their wee one. Completely natural. I hope you are feeling a wee bit better. xx

    Evening ladies :)

Sharkeybabe - Sorry tpo hear your OH has been poorly. And in a foreign hospital as well - must be hard. Sending loads of get well vibes his way.

Salski - Well done on getting the nursery sorted! Do you want to come round and do mine?? Ours is scheduled to be finished in January - apparently!!

Hitchins -:eek::eek: at the gas leak. Especially at Christmas. Hope it's all sorted now.

Garnetlady - (((Hugs))). I hope the virus bogs off soon and you feel better.

Shazza - :rotfl: at Dr. Google. I'll have to remember that one! Yay for feeling bubs move loads. Did you bag any bargains in the sales?

LilacPixie - How did the appt go today? Are they going to induce you early or do you think you will go into labour early? Sending stay put vibes your way for now!

Fanta - Grrrr at Next lol. When I was doing the online sale shop last week the coat was in stock in my size but by the time I checked out it had gone again. I give up!

Wendz - :j for 24 weeks. Are you feeling bubs move yet?

Tigerlee - Congrats on your due date! Sounds like the apppt went well and hopefully the sweep will work sooner rather than later. Sending labour vibes your way!

MV - Well done on getting your list done, especially as you're so tired. Pls make sure that OH is doing his fair share.

Giz - Congrats on finishing work :j You must be happy! Must feel really strange knowing that you'll be gone a year! Sorry, can't help with the M&P warranty. Is it worth a call or an email to their Customer Service?

Dusty - Good to see you had a great Christmas. Have fun at the pictures tonight :)

EA - Yay for the big delivery from Babies R Us!! I got all excited when I saw a rather large delivery from Next when I got home :o:D

Ice - Pls don't worry about the baby movements. It is still quite early. And you heard a nice strong heartbeat which is fabby. But keep in touch with your MW if you are concerned.

Vroombroom - (((Hugs))) for the crappy day. Weird that work changed your ML date. Can you double check with HR? Hope you get your GP sorted.

Teenie - Hi honey how are you? I couldn't tell you what Braxton Hicks are if I wanted to so no help really - sorry. I get tightenings round my tummy sometimes when I'm on the loo but I think its from stretching too far to wipe :o:rotfl: TMI - sorry

So has anyone got an excel list or similar of stuff they have got/will get for baby. Everything from dummies to cot beds. Or am I too lazy not to do my own list??

I got quite a few practical bits in the Next online sale which I'm happy with. Got a baby monitor, a Kiddy Guard gate for the nursery (to stop the dog getting in) and a baby carrier for DH to wear (although he's not so keen at the mo!). Hopefully will get the cotbed sorted next week - just need to take one of my existing drawer fronts into the store to check the colour matches.

Phew, mammoth post from me. Hope everyone is well.

DH's 30th tomorrow and he knows about the surprise party :( Oh well, the cat was let out of the bag - can't be helped. We're going for a shopping and lunch day as well in Covent Garden which will be nice.
