  • Morning folks.

Bah I have a UTI so am on another course of antibiotics. Was in agony with it on Monday, so had to go to a walk in centre yesterday.

Only 12 days to go till my due day..no stirrings yet, but baby does do some violent movements from time to time, that are almost too much! He was going nuts the other night and I just couldn't watch my stomach and it's bizzare shifting..it was a bit too freaky!

Not sure if that means he is getting ready to launch, by my calculations pre-12 week scan I was due on Jan 17th, but was dated a week earlier at the scan, so it's anyone's guess!

Went out for a lovely meal last night with OH as it was his birthday..probably our last just 'get up and go' night out!

I'll have to remember all these tips for bringing on labour, incase I need them in a few weeks.....

Hope everyone is well this morning??

I had a bad night last night, about a week ago I started with this horrible pain in my mid back (about where my ribs are) and sometimes I can feel it in my front as well (sounds really bizarre) so I mentioned it to mw at my apppointment last week, however she wasn't very sympathetic, just said its a part of being pregnant i'm afraid (thank the lord it wasn't my regular midwife, or I would have been well miffed!) anyways i've googled it and its pretty common - has anyone on here experienced it??

Didn't matter how I laid last night, i just couldn't get rid of it..... So pretty tired today and to top it off I have to wait for insurance company to drop my car off and pick up the hire car, so i'm house bound again....

Decided to make a start on the Christmas mess while i'm hanging about the house.....

  • Hello Everyone. Hope you all had a lovely Xmas. I had a great time and it was great to be spoiled rotten. I also ordered my pram on Boxing day and will be ordering my nursery furniture this weekend. Been scouring the sales online to find see if I can get a better deal than I can get at the moment, but so far not finding much, any suggestions would be appreciated.
Well just under 7 weeks til my due date, I am starting to get very nervous and scared and keep thinking that I am not prepared in the slightest for the baby coming along. My DH has been really ill over Xmas whilst in Kuwait and we have had to dip into our savings alot whilst he has been in hospital, so now I find myself worrying about that now aswell. Really hoping that my nesting period will start soon, as my house is a complete mess and I really cant be bothered to clean it, benefits I suppose of living alone at the moment, no-one can see the mess and at the moment, I am choosing to ignore it :)

Labour Vibes to those who need it.

    Good Morning Ladies,

Wow MV - your due date is so close now! are you excited yet?? Sorry about the UTI - that sucks.

Sounds like we're all having a few aches and pains. I'm definitelu not sleeping as well anymore and when I walk my dog, I'm definitely slower and exhausted by the time I get home. Oh well, our little bundles of joy will be worth it :)

I'm at work today but can't complain as it is the only day this week I'm in!

DH's 30th tomorrow and I've organised a surprise party at the local Indian with family and friends. One of DH's friends has just called me to say he was sending a group text out to DH's mates to confirm the time and accidentally included DH in the text!! I can't get to his phone to delete as I am at work. I know DH is sleeping in the spare room at the moment as he was at work last night and I know his mobile is in our room as I plugged it in to charge this morning. So I've just called his mum to see if she can get round there now to nab the phone before he sees the message and the surprise is ruined! Phew!

Men eh, what can we do with them??

Anyways, hope everyone and bumps are well and looking forward to the New Year. I'm 28 weeks today :j

omeprazole should not be taken 1st 3 months of pregnancy and should be limited after (or preferably not taken) as it crosses placenta.
    x

I was on lanzoprazole until I found out I was pregnant - I was then changed onto Omeprazole at 5 weeks pregnant and have been on it twice a day since on the advice of my Dr, Obstetrician and my endocrinologist.

Sorry, I meant without doc advice. My doc told me to stop omeprazole before getting preggers. I was just concerned about preggers people taking them non prescribed from family and friends. There are other options to try first before going in for omeprazole or other ppi's for milder heartburn/reflux such as sleeping more upright, not eating late, eating lighter meals little and often and gaviscon.
  • Hi ladies,

Hope you all had a fab Christmas. Ours was great till Christmas day night and we could smell gas in the cupboard, cue emergency gas men coming out, turning us off and digging outside till 11.30pm. Only just got the heat and water back on yesterday.

Ejecoms - what the bloody hell are you still doing here? Try the clary sage as suggested. Good luck xx

Teenie - Yeh I get the stitch pains if I walk too far, or fast. :(

MV - Get well soon x

Salski - Go steady on them ladders young lady *wags finger* ;)

Sammy - Good choice with the I candy Apple (was you who's ordered it wasn't it?:o) We had one with DD, I loved it!! :)

In fact I know I'm been stupid, but feel quite bad for this one, because nearly everything is "hand me down". Pram and cot from cousin, DD's moses basket and a lovely neighbour (who I don't even know) brought round 4 bin liners full of gorgeous clothes, travel cot, play mat, bouncy chair and a push chair. :o Wouldn't take a penny for them, but we're going to get her and her little boy something. :)

  • No idea why you were told that lwcus. I've been on Omeprazole for at least 18 months and my gastro doc knew we were TTC, and having done my research it's one of 2 drugs (the other being ranitadine) that is prescribed during pregnancy. My GP also double checked when I went in to tell him I was pregnant at 4+4 and said they were safe to carry on with. EA did also say she had been prescribed them before.

Hope everyone is okay. I'm vaguely lurking about. I've got one of these viruses that are going about and feel bloody awful. So back to bed for me...
