I watched all of the OBEM in a marathon the other day. Just fast forwarded the bits with Dr Christian etc etc til the labours. Must say completely freaked and bricking it now mixed with blubbing at the site of new dads.
Managed to get a couple of bargains today but scraped the car in the multi-storey so think that will cost more to touch up than I saved...hey ho.
Got the new Baseball-type t-shirt from New Look (this one - http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/maternity/mummy-in-training-tee_211317641?icSort=%2BsortDisplayPrice) and was incorrectly put in the sale at £6 so they honoured it, some flattie shoes and a couple of vests for £4. And a McDonalds!
Off to the Trafford Centre tomorrow...I will avoid builder noise on my first week off! x0 -
omeprazole should not be taken 1st 3 months of pregnancy and should be limited after (or preferably not taken) as it crosses placenta.

Thanks Teenie and MV. Feeling fine about it now!
I don't mind if i go overdue (famous last words!) as i will be able to get babys birthday further away from christmas.
Sounds like a lot of you are getting some good bargains :money:
Lol at the bringing on labour tips, I'm doing the opposite at the moment but i'm sure that will change in a couple of days once i get all the 'have you had it' or 'any signs yet' texts!

Hey ladies hope you and your bumps all had great Christmasses
Congratulations KT & Poppy on your new arrivals and congratulations to Ticklepenny on becoming a Mrs
Happy belated birthday Sammy hope you had a lovely day
Welcome to SJP and Chopsie
Had a nice couple of days over christmas at inlaws but am glad to be home I must admit. For a start I really didn't sleep too well while we are there but seem to be much better since I got home to my own bed
There were a few crying incidents over Christmas - think the third trimester hormones have started kicking in I find myself crying and I really don't have any idea why
I sat and watched all of the OBEM programmes today as I'd Sky+'d them, must say I was pretty diasapointed in them I didn't like the live shows at all as I prefer the usual format. Am looking forward to the new series starting on 10th January thoughOne day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
Welcome chopsie.
I was also disappointed by OBEM Christmas shows - it seemed like there weren't enough people giving birth so they had a lot of space fillers.
Well, after extensive research, I can tell you all that none of pineapple, curry, long walks or DTD bring on labour. I think it is all a conspiracy between pineapple importers, Indian takeaways, the Ramblers association and all men generally to take advantage of heavily pregnant women. I've decided to give up on all this and just get used to the idea of induction in 10 days or so. Then if I do go into labour it will be a nice surprise!
I never want to see another pineapple!0 -
Mornin people
OH back at work today and tomorrowbut at least we're off to stay in a nice cottage with friends over NYE
I've only seen the Christmas OBEM shows, so glad to hear the normal series doesn't have so many fillers, I was quite disappointed and did a lot of fast forwarding. Couldn't persuade OH to watch with me so far but we have antenatal classes starting in Jan so hopefully that'll make him more open to it all. Have to say the only thing that scared me was the size of some of those babies!!
OH has had man flu the last few days so haven't had much fun. Type of man flu where he has to lie on the sofa all day, except When there is something on at the rugby club or mates are going out, gurr. Had enough yesterday so scarpered to hang out with my friends instead
much more fun.
Eje have you tried Clary Sage oil yet? Was chatting to my friend yesterday and she says she'll let me have hers once bubs is fully cooked!!0 -
I swear by clary sage oil. I used to give massages to a few women overdue and usiing clary sage seemed to do the trick.
Hope everyone has had a nice Christmas? I've had a lovely time with family and friends. I still have the inlaws staying for another day. I'm so tired though.all that cooking. Doing dishes and cleaning In between each lot of guests has knackered me out.will be glad when it's new year and all back to normal.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Hey stranger! Hope you had a fab Crimbo sounds like it was a bit hectic!
Back to work tomorrow and I am kind of glad about it. We're putting DD back into nursery too even though DH is still off (we are paying for it anyway) and when I told her she was quite happy about it too! We haven't done very much the past couple of days and I thinkk she is a wee bit bored.
Went out yesterday for a while but I got those really bad stitch like pains across my tummy again  It's so annoying as I really can't walk far with them. Does anyone else get them?
Is anyone doing anything for the New Year? We're not and in fact I don't even think we are going to my Mums this year for dinner so OH was talking about having a steak yummmmmm. I have to work on the 2nd Jan which is a pain but then off for 3 days from my other job again. I worked out last night that I possibly only have another 9 shifts of my second job to work. I am taking ML earlier from that one as I struggle already with it and am desperate to finish. I wont get any maternity pay from it though which is a pain but hey ho can't do much about that, we will just have to cope.
Ok I'm waffling now, sorryxx

Hello ladies and bumps
What a relaxing Christmas! Although I did have a few third trimester tears - I felt like OH was taking it out on me any time anything went wrong - the boiler breaking again, an outside pipe freezing, trying to fit the car seat - sure he wasn't but the tears flowed far too easily.
Anyway. No more mucus plug scares although I did have a little dribble of liquid down my leg on Boxing Day - had said to OH that if it happened again I would go and see MW this morning but not had anything since and have scheduled MW appt on Tuesday so will just mention it then. Baby still dancing away so I'm not concerned.
