Afternoon, welcome hattifattener (great name :-))
Having a much better day today, could be because i have 1 day at work then 2 weeks off :-)
Looking forward to my next vip slot tomorrow evening, hoping to get a few bits for the baby.
Bought a carrycot that attaches to my pram chassis off ebay this morning, its brand new and can also be used as a car seat, which is the main reason i initially wanted it. Does anyone have any info on the benefits of carrycot car seats as a pose to normal ones? Thought i read something on here a while ago, but for the life of me i can't remember. Anyway got it for a bargain, so i'm chuffed and it will come out of the HIPgrant money.
Hope everyone else is ok, still got no snow here, so carrying on as normal.
Still got back problems but the pain is not as bad as it was yesterday, my mood seems to have got better too, don't feel quite as hormonal.
Lablover, my dd2 slept wherever she fell asleep, and while she was downstairs in was generally in her bouncy chair.:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

Hi Ladies
Not posted for a couple of days not been feeling the best. Had a bit of a melt down on Sunday and not been able to pick myself up. Just feeling really down at the mo but desperately trying to ignore it (which I know from past experience is the worst thing I can do) just haven't been able to build up the courage to let anyone know how I'm feeling.
I'm hoping that it's just because I need a bit of a break, which I will get at the end of the week.
I usually love Christmas but just can't get into it at the mo.:(
Congratulations to Charlie, Nic and Fanta on your scans, glad everything went well. Fab photos
Take care everyone xx"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Hey lovelies
Got my cervix scan todaybad news on having to reschedule yours Dusty. Have also booked in for flu jab next week (docs have apparently reopened clinic which is good as OH was stressing about horror stories on the news)!!
Had some good news today, my friend is 8 weeks, and she had a scan and saw heartbeat. She'd not said anything so I was worried it was bad news, so am just so excited for herWill offload all my too skinny maternity stuff on to her (hopefully)
xx
Another twinny moment with cervix scans on the same day. Never ceases to amaze me. I gurantee we will both give birth on the same day too.
Good news re: your friend, it is grea to have someone to go through it all with. One of my BF's is 17 weeks and we are already discussing all teh differnt thngs we can do while on mat leave. Sadly though all the bargains and ideas I get from here I pass onto her and now we have the same pram and same car seat. Will have to learn to keep my mouth shut!

Sorry to hear that hun. Did you take it out on his credit card? :rotfl:When he was around 3 months ( i think) i bought him a taggie. .
Should I know what a taggie is?0 -
(((HUGS))) Teenie. sorry to hear your feeling down. Maybe you should mention it to the MW or Doctor? This time of year can be so hard. One minute your happy as its nearly Christmas then the thought of it all gets me in a fug.
Ive been trying to do more Christmassy things with the kids to get me in the mood. We just made coconut ice and now im covered in red food colouring, it looks like my hands are bleeding.
Hopefully when you stop work and have a break you will feel better. We all get a bit down sometimes, but if you know it can lead you a not very good place its better to get to the docs sooner rather than later.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Tell us Teenie. I'm sure what you are feeling will be nothing to feel guilty about and I can guarantee there are ladies on here feeling exactly the same and just waiting for someone else to say it. ((HUGS))0 -

my DS has the car and plane one. They are so soft with loads of silky tags round them. There is patterns to make your own as they are quite expensive. I used money that was given to us for the baby to buy one.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Welcome!I was going to ask if babys sometimes slept in the lay flat bouncey chairs but wasnt sure if it was something that Im supposed to know and didnt want to sound stupid(lol) Whilst on the subject I was buying a family friends baby a gift in MCare and saw that they had what looked like long sleeved tops for bubs but long body on it , no legs just an elasticated bit at the bottom? Called a bundler or something , it was in unisex section so defo not a dress.Any clues?????
Nic2075 it has a section on "whitenoise " in baby book , basically says as soon as your back from hospital get tv on , put a load in washing machine , etc Will definatly try and do this
There is no stupid and there are no stupid questions.
sammy think your babe will already be well used to the dog, does she jump when the dog starts barking?
